Your only 16...your insurance should be high.

I live in canada and if my insurance was under my name it would be around $7000CDN a year, but its under my dad's name so its only like $1200 or so. Ontario will rape you for insurance, which is why when i go to university in manitobia i'm gonna switch it over and it'll only be around $1000 under my name. I'm not really sure what insurance costs in the states though.

Mine's around $850 a year, but thats with four years and a PERFECT record, no tickets, at fault accidents, no nothing. Also I get a good student discount. My GA insurance was about the same as my G6. When I was 16 and Ifirst had the GA insurance was more like $1200 a year. Also have the highest accident deductable, i think it's 500.

if you are 16 and on your parents insurance it should be kinda high but not that high. You should get some sort of discount for having multiple cars on one account, unless they have yours through another company... I don't remember what mine was when i was that young
My current insurance is around $90 per month!
