Cd Player

I too notice my CD player is skipping after the car warms up. I do not get a error message on my CD players display yet. I think the CD player is slowly dying.

How about this one-

My CD player doesn't even accept CDs anymore. It just constantly tries to catch the disc after inserting it, then ejects it.

BUT

If I punch the dashboard beside the player hard enough, the CD will be accpeted, every time!!

That's bad news, though- sooner or later I'm gonna totally disconnect it.

Oh well, don't matter- I'm on the verge of getting myself a new MP3 deck. That'll solve the problem!!

The stock 99-2000 CD players are pure ****, ive noticed the newer ones are a little better but I have issues with my 02 cds player every so often.

On my old 99 it did that same thing and the volume knob went fubar so when i went to turn the volume down it would go up instead.

My 02 stock HU didn't want to accept or reject CD's either. They kept getting stuck. Unless you want to replace all factory speakers, I would stick with factory HU. Because from my personal experience, stock speakers can't handle extra power of aftermarket HU's.

Hmm. My volume does the same thing- when I turn it down, it goes up- or vice-versa.

Adjusting it slowly fixes the problem.

So you guys think that purchasing a new deck will be a problem??

The backlight for the display on mine burnt out last week. Yeearggh. But it's the perfect excuse for a new headunit. What sucks is, I find out they have one with red illumination two days after it shipped out

I'd ask the seller if he has the deck you really want and if he'd be willing to do an exchange if you pay the differance. maybe offer to cover the extra shipping costs too??

just a suggestion -- whats the worst he can say?

Guy said the order already went through to the warehouse. Both units are exactly the same price. Oh wells.
