Getting the 6 speed will cost you absolutely nothing. There are 3 options on the car: Navigation for 2 grand, summer tires for $200, and the full A-spec package for about $5,000. So if you want everything you can hit about 40,000. Not many people do that though. The majority of cars built are the automatic without the navi or performance stuff.

Yeah...and for $40,0000.....I'd begetting a lightly used CTS-V....and walk over everything in handling AND acceleration

Don't get touchy......

All I was implying is that much over $40,000 for a TL would be alot. I can see mid thirites for sure or high thirties....
For anything over 40G's, I'd be seeking a very low mileage silver CTS-V with TONS of potential to make sick power with racetrack handling, and 5 seats.

That's all. I don't compare sportbikes to cars....High performance cars have too many advantages.

Power isn't everything. The interior quality and design in the CTS are lacking. Talk about a sea of black. There is barely any accents used to break up the monotone interior. I like the power, but that interior for $50k is not attractive.

Vintalage, we think alike, I have been disappointed with the CTS interior everytime I get in one. It looks especially cheap without the navigation system. The TL is better inside than the CTS anyday, V Series or base. If only the TL had the RL's powertrain... Maybe the next generation...

Rumor has it that SH-AWD will be on the TL for '06.

You are right..power isnt everything...as evidenced by the CTS-V as a whole.

I know the C5 Z06 interior is disappointing, same with the C6 and C6 Z06, though both a bit better......

Guess I better buy a 350Z then....

keep a look out for your headrests mysteriously wrinkling. obviously it happens to leather seats, but for some reason with some of the 04's the headrests would rinkle. maybe they used new material in 05 though.
