Street Racing

I never quite understood why we can post about street racing on this forum? This is the only forum I know of, or am apart of that can't post about racing. Why is that? I would like to know who and what cars people have beat so I can be able to know if they encounter a similiar car. Not all of us condone street racing but for those that do it, its not fair. Plus it is also interesting/funny to read kill stories.

Lets start: street racing is illegal and the gurus dont want to be a part of it.

Street racing threads start flames becuase theres always an idiot who says they smoked a viper in the crowd then you have 100 nay sayers and its never good from there on. Then you have the people that think they know it all and know every cars 1/4 mile time which flame you up when you say you beat some car.

Bottom of the line is the street racing sections are nothing but trouble.

a more mature car group can handle a street racing section, but with this car group, it will just get out of hand.

from the rules

7. Racing Stories
This one is plain and simple: racing stories are not allowed.

We don't care what other forums allow racing stories. We don't want them here. Posting times from a track -- FINE. Posting that you beat the hell out of a Civic at the track -- BAD. Road racing stories aren't even remotely allowed. Posts dealing with racing stories will be deleted immediately. If you become a habitual racing story poster than your account will be deleted. This is one of our biggest sticking points and is dealt with very harshly.

Simple thing to keep in mind: If you think it's a racing story, it probably is. If you posted what you thought might be a racing story and a few minutes later it is gone, then just let it go. If you contact us saying that your post was deleted we will ignore it.

Any car forum I've ever been on either 1) Does not let you post about street racing OR 2) Requires all names/places, etc to be removed from the post. Most car clubs acknowledge the fact that local authorities monitor online message forums to find/monitor those places that people identify as places that commonly see "street racing." I wouldn't be surprised if we have someone stop by this site every so often to search for this type of information.

Okay yeah, i understand the IMMATURITY LEVEL on this board but dont we have NAY sayers already on the board? But isnt that the reason why we have moderators to control what people say? I mean they could give a warning then if they violate the rules again BAN them from only that section. I mean come on, id like to hear some kill stories that the grand am's on here have. Can't we try it? I;m sure their is a way around it somehow.

I'd have to imagine that a GA "Kill Section" would be rather small and mostly included posts about people who "were soooo close," or someone who beat another GA.

Seriouslllyyy.

As long as I'm the owner of the site, you won't see street racing discussions here. We had them a long time ago and they got out of hand (to the point that people from other car forums were coming over and raising hell). Putting out those flames are hard to do, so we don't even allow the spark.
