Schweppe Runs New PB @MGM

First I'd like to thank all of those who helped me load/unload/wrench/etc. on the car.

MGM was a blast, it was nice to meet some new faces and hang out with all my old friends as well. I hope to make it to fall MGM for some even better PB's

I knew i would be running good that day when every car number i asked for was taken, and then I'm like..."how about number 1" and the tech guy says "it's yours".

Here's my slip:

R/T .... .384
60 ..... 2.101
330 ... 5.793
1/8 ....8.752
MPH ...83.35
1000...11.330
1/4 .... 13.525
MPH ....102.64

Overall I'm pleased with the time. I was so sure it was gonna be closer to the 13.2/3 mark. But with the 60ft times i was running that day it just wasn't feasible. Maybe I'll take the Baer brakes off so i can put some 15in slicks on

This was on the 2.5 pulley pushing about 6psi boost @ redline. The Rossler trans shifted great all day. And I was experiencing little to no knock. I was gonna swap to the 2.4, but for the life of me I couldn't get the 2.5 off. I have more plans for this car and with time/money allowing will be in the 12's. I look forward to seeing the GA community run even better times in the future.

That's great man. My knowlege of track times has grown significantly since I became a part of this site and from what I know know about GA's that's a pretty sweet time.

I do have a qustion however. I know our cars are known for launching pretty well. I was wondering if you guys could tell me what a stock 60' time would be and what an amazing 60' time would be, just so I have an idea of the range. thanks.

Congrats man, that car is a beast and with better traction you will see much better times. I am pretty sure you didn't hit WOT till after the 60ft mark anyways, there was one run that you were past the 60ft and I heard the tires let out a little squeel, so you are making enough torque to pull some 1.7 60s and that would get you 12s

Browse through this thread and you will see, all I did was search for 60ft times.

my 60ft is 2.163 and i had street tires and no forced induction on my 9.4 8th mile NA run.

so his 2.1 is pretty crappy considering all that power and a better tranny putting it to the ground. I am sure with slicks/drags he will be in the sub 2.0's .... likely 1.90's or so!

Cool Pat! Put that power to the ground now! you will be running 13.3's easy!

woohoo, awesome man! I knew you were gonna break that record eventually. Congratulations. My prediction was pretty close too I guess, I thought you'd run a 13.5 but I thought the mph would be a little higher. Pretty good though... I'm sure a little more traction and a little more top end speed will put you closer to the 12's.

Congrats Pat. I see you got the boost up. Hmmm I wonder if someone by the name of Strope helped with that. I knew it was a done deal after hearing about it.
