The GTO is a nice car...i mean its a million times better than the grand am but its not better than the STI. I'm 100% with Mr.Eh on this one.....no contest.
An what are you talking about STI doesnt have comfort?...i Guess Recaro just doesnt know how to make seats.
Last thing....any car can handle better when after market parts are put on.
That being said i wouldnt turn down a GTO if i had the chance to drive one...thats for sure.
what i meant by comfort was the suspension. both have nice seats, gto's are softer, more cushy but still keep you planted in your seat, the sti's are also very nice. the STI's suspension is much firmer, less suspension travel, which is why it can take corners so well, but you feel every crack, speedbumps are viscous, it tends to bounce around alot, kind of a jarring ride, but you can take corners fast. GTO's suspension gives you a more comfortable ride, dont feel the cracks so well, a pothole wont snap your neck, and its a very smooth ride. but you cant take corners as fast. neither suspension is "better", gto's is more comfortable, sti's is sportier. you could make the gto's sportier to close that gap without sacrificing to much ride quality, but the sti's will never give you that smooth ride. depends on what you want

i think its a stupid comparision because people looking at STI"s wont look at gto's. people looking at GTO's wouldn't buy a STI. there completly different cars, both performance cars, but different classes. but its my opinon that more time and money went into the gto to make it more of a well rounded car.

ive driven IN a sti, and it is a fun car, but it by no means has a comfortable ride. comfortable seats yes, but ride? no. ive sat in both, and the quality of the material and fit and finish of everything is higher in a GTO, its pretty hard for you guys to judge that through pictures....

gto's interior wins, you posted a two tone interior for the sti, but gto's all black...here is a two tone gto interior, and as posted a few posts back, blue interior is available with a impulse blue gto

oh, and i fixed my pics post like 5 posts back...you cant say those aren't good looking gto's.

QUAD BUCKET SEATS!!!!

well of course the gto will have a way nicer ride over bumpy roads.. anyone who has ever lowered a vehicle or put low profile tires or a stiffer suspension upgrade will know how harsh the ride can become.. personally it doesnt bother me.. by the sounds of what i have heard both from this post and just reading about the 2 the only thing the gto is shorthanded in is a road coarse.. aka high speed cornering and so on.. now if we are being realistic here.. 99% of the time these cars we drive are daily drivers in a city or sometimes the highway... what the hell difference does it make if a car can hold a corner better at 95 mph ... how many times are u actually going to use that.. I would rather buy a car that is nicer looking.. has more power. more comfort. sounds meaner and gets better fuel economy.. aka 2005 gto

you pro gto owners are missing the point, the sti/gto are BEAUTIFUL cars, when i say the sti is nice i dont mean the gto is ugly, i'd take either car given the opportunity, but when buying i'd take the sti over the gto in a heart beat, the sti is more fun to drive imo *shrug* everyone can have their own opinion, but if you gas the gto up at putting down the sti then im gonna argue

thats the woodward gto...hopefully they'll re-create that body kit.

you can however buy that hood, which is the hotness.

i really dont like the way the subaru's look. i can see why others would like them, its just pretty far from my taste, which is obvious because i think the gto is gods gift to 30K cars...i dont think its the best car every, but i think for 30k it is hands down. im not trying to push my opinions on others, just set facts strait. to each there own. but to the gto haters, at least look at a brand new one in person and sit in one at a dealership to give it a fair shake. i didn't like it either when i saw pics of the 04 before it was released.

theirs only one way to find out.

Alex and Bob, or anyother GTO owner close need to race and settle this once and for all.

im sure they can drive the cars better then C&D can.

The saturation in the paint is much higher than the saturation in the rest of the picture.....besides the rims are too sharp and have too high of contrast. Could be what the concept looks like, but those pics are chopped one way or another.

The image is definitely touched up. I remember reading an article about it, and I'm pretty sure one was produced.

Like I said, I'm sure one was made, but those photos are chopped. I bet the car is beautiful in person.

the STI drivetrain is about as bulletproof as it gets coming straight off the factory line

those photos are not chopped milky licker.. man u guys think everything is photo'd.. that is the GTO Judge concept.. it has been at several car shows and they are planning to produce it in the next year or 2.. It has not been altered or had shiat added to it.. that is how the stock GTO Judge will look when it is offered to the public. If anything is done to that pic it is the background is faded out a bit.. what kinda digital cam pic would take a blurry background pic for a photoshoot?
