2009...by that time, the Mustang GT will be about the same HP if not more. the Cobra/Shelby will be even more.

i wonder, if the Stang didnt go retro, would the Charger/GTO/Challenger even be thought of???

The Mustang GT right now is putting out 300 crank HP. The Hemi 6.1L V8 today is putting out 425 crank HP. I doubt the Mustang GT will stack up against the Challenger. That'd be left to the Cobra. The suspense is killing me what engine they are going to be putting inside the Camaro and the GTO.

Man I can't wait for this car. Some rumours over at www.lxforums.com are indicating that it might also be released as a Chrysler Barracuda a year after the Challengers first production run.

Here is a photoshop rendition

This may be getting somewhat monotonous...... but wouldn't it be awesome if GM came back soon with a new Chevelle or a Nova......... ahhh, dare to dream .

It'll be the LS2, or at least all signs point to that, unless they upgrade or change that by the time Camaro is out. And Ford is talking Boss to be competing with the Camaro and Challenger, rumors are saying ~400 hp in a possible Boss, and then they'd probably amp the shelby up a little. I'm guessing Ford would just use the 5.4L thats in the shelby and just take the blower off and do a little tuning.

I still wish that they were releasing a T/A on the platform instead of the GTO.

If you noticed the thread 2 weeks ago when I posted it, you would know what I was asking. Since then this thread has been cleaned up and the post in question has been deleted.
