Would amber bulbs be bright enough to show up during the day? What kind would I want to get for this to work?

Mine has all amber bulbs in it right now. The only one that isnt is the 3157 Signal bulb which is the Silverstar (looks bluish until lit then turns amber).

That silverstar bulb sounds cool. I think if I get these I'll break down and get Sylvana Silverstar 9007 bulbs and then since I'm getting those I might as well go all the way and make all the other bulbs nice. Any other ideas, I like the blue to amber one so far.

There are chrome coated bulbs that shine amber. I have the silverstars in the front (sort of purplish, like a oil slick) and chrome coated bulbs in the rear.

They are on my cardomain and I got them from ebay.

I got my lights installed. Check my Member Rides post for some pics (before aiming). I'll take more tonight with them properly aimed. I threw in the Silverstars for headlights and turn signals. The attitude of the car is totally changed. I love it. I have, however, noticed the little rainbow effect that was mentioned. I'll see if I can get pics of it and see what I can do to fix it. It is very minor and only noticeable on close inspection.

Good to know that the rainbow effect is consistently a minor problem. Probably either due to the materials or the heating and cooling process of making the lense. Somewhere in here is a picture that I kind of noticed the rainbow effect on, was a black car.

I should be getting mine today or tomorrow in the mail and putting them in asap.

Well I don't know how big of a deal the "rainbow" effect is, but if this has worse quality than stockers, I am not gonna bother.

well mine should get here tomorrow, silverstar's just came today (yay!!), so i'll see it first hand. but from what has been said, the effect is only noticable if you are looking for it. if you just glance at the headlights you arent gonna notice. if you go over every inch then you'll find it. simple as that. i might try picking up some transparent lense covers and see what effect that has on the rainbow.

Yep I noticed the same thing to the guy selling them all at 240 he has had that price for the last week at least. I refuse to buy them when he is playing such stupid games with his customers. I hope he doesn't sell another would serve him right then have the price drop back down. But we all know they will sell at that price to oh well it will all work it anyway.

email the hell out of pfyc and see if they would be willing to manufacture some or locate the manufacturer of these. im sure if they see how much attention these are getting you might be able to talk them into carrying these or something very similar to them.

I think NewMayHi's DIY way worked out pretty well... didnt seem that hard either. I understand business is business, but he refuses to do a group buy (where he would still make $$) and refuses to put them at a reasonable price...that to me is teh rape.

Obviously this guy is a business man. He sells things over the internet that he imports from Asia at rediculous prices. He landed on a gold mine and now he is making as much money as he can off of it. He sells over the internet so he doesn't need customer service if he is just selling on eBay. If he was a local shop or something I could understand the better customer service. I own my own business and sell a lot on eBay and I am the total oppisite of this guy. I need customers to make purchases and I need them to come into my store. This guys doesn't. He knows what he is doing and guess what, he's doing a damn good job at it and making a good buck too...

Everyone has been waiting for a product like this and now it's here. This happens all the time. I wast this, I want that. And when the time comes no one buys the focking things and all they do is complain about it. Just buy the god damn thing. Everyone wants it and now no one wants to buy it. If he never started his auctions at $185 everyone would be all over these still. Everyone stop complaining or just buy them. $240 is not a bad price for entire headlight assemblys. Personally if I were him I would raise the price even higher because he could easily get it if he wanted to.

Actually his auctions were starting around $165 originally. 2 (or more) days at $240 and it doesnt look like he sold a pair. I personally would settle paying $200+shipping for them, but my fiancee would kill me... I got a feeling I'll be waiting til christmas for these, I think she wants to get them for me.

well all i really did as demand to know why my headlights havent arrived yet. i dont see a problem with that. i just demanded in a creative way. if you want i can edit my posts, but there have been enough complaints and crap about him here that what i did was nothing.

trust me, there were alot of worse things said in this thread than what i said in my email. so chill out.

If he never started his auctions at $185 everyone would be all over these still. Everyone stop complaining or just buy them. $240 is not a bad price for entire headlight assemblys. Personally if I were him I would raise the price even higher because he could easily get it if he wanted to.
and another thing he's doing right, like any other business, is, if a new store or product is out, they gotta have 'specials' or a reduced price on the item/product to see how well that service/item/product picks up. If it gets popular, u raise the prices a bit, and ppl will still buy em. Business practices.

how do u know he doesnt sold a pair w/ his higher price? Just cuz u havent seen hes new 'feedback' # doesnt mean anything. He could've sold 10 pairs in 2 days but u wont see his feedback till the buyer receives them, is satisfied w/ em, and then decides to give him feedback.

that feedback should be going up by the end of this week tho. the prices were raised awhile ago, so atleast one of them should be responding soon.
