true, only the housing is black, but the parts around the bulbs are still chrome, depending on the angle you look at it and the amount of light they can look darker, if you look at them head on, they look close to stock. the best thing about them, is no more vinyl on the corners.

yeah, i agree, the difference is subtle so if you have lights that are in good shape (not foggy looking) and some good looking vinyl overlays you might as well save yourself the money. but if your stuff is torn up these are a much better option than oem for replacement.

if they go down, I'll be getting these... better than my fogged up looking stock ones. Could use to also replace and take out a cheap strobe i HAD to get in my youth.

Good. As I implied earlier in the thread, the vinyl look is old and light can not shine through the vinyl. The aftermarket lamps are a better alternative especially since they are balcked out.

I think they look great. I'll be ordering me a set for sure after seeing the pics. I only have one headlight right now that is in decent shape but I would like to have a new set anyways.

Hey, no need to get sassy. I couldnt care less if it is an "old look". Looks cleaner and matches my black and chrome. I pulled the bulbs out of the corners anyhow, looks much better. Regardless, I was just stating my opinion.

Looks good.
I got some questions.

Does it come with everything?

You just have to take out the stock bulbs and harness and just swap housings?

Did you have to adjust?

What is the lense made of?

WOW....I think they look great for the price!!! To bad you can't just get the outer lenses.
If I ever got them...I would pull them apart and repaint the black part the same color as the car.

it appears the company is playing it smarter , by reducing the price to 200 but if they reduce it back to it's original price 170 we members who like them would by more or faster. and then go back to the company for other things in future maybe. they obviously got my email few days ago and a few other members email or calls . the price reduction shows they are listening.
don ' t all jump on this new 200 lets see if they hit closer to the 170. 1 time price increase after 6 months or more are understandable . but the serveral price increases was not cool. and it's not whether we work and make alot or a little amount of money. it the princible for one thing. you don ' t build a bridge to get one car or train by then burn that bridge quickly. you want business to come back and reliable steady customers it what any business wants.
they do look better then factory . i will be getting them if the price goes down more. and spead the word to 4 other ga owners up her doing up ther cars but don ' t go on this website and or ebay. word of mouth so powerful. and boys i am not a cheap buyer . over 100,000.00 worth of collectibles . a jeep i have spent about 50,000.00 on totally customise ( still not done with maybe another 30,000
00 i 'll be finished ) just stays in storage full time last few years. no time .
just a smart buyer of products. and if i have trouble i talk to the parents lawyer for assistance . not rich work for my money plus parents demand i hold my own. . , parents well off. folks call my house a museaum blow most guys minds. remember at worst these will be sold by other sellers some day, patients.

looks awesome, I'd love to see on a light car...I was complaining about hte price too, I'd love to see it hit 170 again but also gotta acknowledge the fact that stock cost like 109 a piece plus shipping

I think those headlights would look even better if they just took out the clear reflector and had nothing, IMO it would look very smooth and flowing.

But I still like them regardless.

i see what you're saying, but look at sc/tgrandam's, rba's old headlights, replica's or mcgyvers setups. They all look very eye catching compared to these. Granted their more expensive, but why spend the money on these when you can just do them yourself. just my opinion.

yeah i can see that point as well. different strokes for different folks, i will agree their headlights all look very nice.

but yeah it all comes down to the bang for the buck, not worth it in my opinion although i know these are right for some people

So your saying after all these years, a DIY solution to a clear reflector conversion has been discovered?

Nope. Im glad theirs an alternative to this whole headlight frustration people have with the orange reflector, but IMO it just doesnt look good. I know you need some type of reflector in there for DOT regulations, but I guess theirs really no other way to do it, but the way some people have done it with removing the reflector and replacing the headlight lense with the plastic cover.

Im saying, with people covering it up anyway with vinyl, the only other change is the backround is black, and people can do that themselves.

The other change is that you can acutally put a bulb in there... a colored bulb and have it shine through with that color.

Yes, I agree that SC/TGrandam and other's projector lamps are more interesting to look at. But they are more expensive to produce and market. You can't expect this kind of product if people are crying out over the current set that's available now. You bring out a low cost setup to test the market and if it's well received, you go from there. And right now, the reaction is not very good even though the lamps appear to be of OEM quality. Sad.

Look, people have been asking for this for years and now it's finally here and BOOM, it's now not worth it. Now I see why aftermarket companies were reluctant to bring anything out to this community.

Mine are coming tomorrow!!!...can't wait to see them on silver.

I still love the look of the vinyl over the corners and hate to pull them off my car. But after 4 plus years, my lenses are foggy and looks like @ss. It was time for a replacement anyway.

I'd love to have a set of projector beams, but I mean I'm not spending close to 1k on headlights when my entire GA is worth around 5k.

Vint-Yes I know all about it. Everyone is excited about a product they want out. A company comes out with "x" product. Everybody runs away like my avatar, and then word gets around that people are just cheap and are all talk.

so today is thurs and i get my replacement gauges, and they are EVEN WORSE. bad creases in 2 spots from being folded in a soft envelope (no cardboard like he said he would ship them in). and there are chips and adhesive all over. im waiting for him to email me back about sending me a 3rd gauge overlay. i sent him pics of my garbage one as well.

i bought from autodynasty...his customer service seems ok even though he straight up lied to me about shipping it in cardboard and overlooking it for defects, but his product seems like COMPLETE GARBAGE.

i did hook them up to a 12V battery....they are VERY BRIGHT and i love the colors.

here are some pics of how crappy the 2nd set of gauges are...

creased on both sets of gauges...BAD
just thought u shud know this guy tommy got beat 2 maybe 3x from the same dealer as these "black headlights"

i think they would look 100x better if they painted the part behind the reflector black as well.
