well lets get back to subs boys and girls, and try to play nice. has anyone here ever heard the pioneer 5000spl? i seem to be the only one who knows anything about it. thats kinda wierd sinvce it is the world record holder. not complainin i'm just sayin.

And as ANY of the record holders for spl will tell you, the woofer doesn't have nearly as much to do with it as the knowledge and application of the install. How the hell do you think there has been a single 10 hit about 170db?

Bass is the easiest part of the damn system. Get something that is descent and move on.

the size of the woofer doesn't have nearly as much of an effect. even with perfect enclosures (which is what a lot of the record holders are capable of building), the woofer does matter a lot. every woofer has it's limits. you can take the worst woofer and still not win competitions. imo, it's 50/50 once you are at a build level where you can make quality enclosures for every situation.

It was Nate Munsen and he did it with a 10" digital designs.

im considering upgrading to a full infinity system cause i have a buddy that can get me up to 70% off. what do you guys think? and what size/combo of subs should i go with if i go with this?
