We should make it by then no problem with the final product. The frames are done, just waiting on the skins to be completed.

but yea after 2 years. but hey there was a shortage which set them back, then the issues with the SD mold. they can't help it, yano

I have attached a pic of a fiberglass version of the hood, you can also see the frame mold to the right and another customer's hood prototype skin in the back. We are looking for a test fit vehicle, preferably locally. The test fit will be using a fiberglass hood, which would be available for purchase by the test fitter for a reduced price. We are willing to ship for a test fit if necessary. Can you pass the word along to the community to see if anyone would be interested?

i'd go for that one (seeing its already white) if i had the money...to think of it, i should start saving again for the CF hood.

i can wait...until then, i can do the other things that i had originally planned on doing after getting this. Plus i dont plan on selling the car. So it's all good...really late, but all good.

That's just the gel coat, you'd still have to paint it. And the whole point is to have carbon fiber isn't it? If all you wanted was a fiberglass SD hood you can get one from pfyc whenever you want.

the test fit was just completed last night, check the other board for the details. Looks like within a month, everyone still in the GB should have their hood. Who is still in the GB?

I'm kinda curious too. Thread was started back in september '05... it's been almost two years. So where are the hoods they promised? I know there was a shortage of CF for a while but it's got to be over now, and companies are still making CF parts so obviously they are getting CF from somewhere.
