Should be. I asked Cerious to make a couple extras as there would be probably be some guys coming into the deal later in the game. Same deal, Paul. Just PayPal them with the same information as I outlined earlier in the thread.

I received a status report today. Here's what it said, " There is currently no ETA on the hoods, we are still waiting on the extra wide carbon from Japan."

Hopefully it arrives soon, but I'm in no real rush, since I would wait til spring to paint and mount the hood anyways. Still, I am looking forward to seeing it on my car.

Damn...suckage. I emailed them earlier and I'll see if I can get more details. I'm working with some other companies for some other projects and apparently CF this big is in demand right now.

i look at it this way. I have all the money sittin in ING until the hoods are ready.... So the longer it sits, the more money I make. It would be nice to have for Albany, but I'm not worried, nor backing out of this. $100 less, better material, AND I can pick it up, no way I'm backing out... but I do wonder why I never recieved the delayed e-mail though?

Honestly all of you need to calm down. I understand your frustration but at the same time you have to sympathize. As do most companies that produce parts, you must outsource for raw materials. Being that CP uses raw carbon fiber from a supplier there's nothing they can do to speed up the process on their end. Secondly, look at your newly purchased GA calendar. Today's date is January 19th...we all knew from the get-go that the expected date is/was January-February. So if by some miracle they receive the raw materials tomorrow then ETA may still be accurrate. Third- that's why it's a refundable deposit. If you don't want it anymore then pull out of the group buy. No hair off my back. With that $100 back you can pay 1/2 the shipping if you buy a fiberglass version from PFYC on top of the market price at $699 but at least you'll have it right away. Lastly- have you not been kept up to date on every detail from the initiation of this group buy till now? What more do you want from them?

Maybe I'm biased because they're one of my sponsors. Maybe not. Either way you have that choice to pull out. Just remember that I only had them make 5 extras and right now people are just waiting until they're physically released before purchasing. You'll have to take that chance and see if you're able to pick one up. The CF SC/T hoods sold out in just 4 days after I threw up some pictures online.

You be the judge.

Personally, I like the SC/T Hoods that these guys produce a lot better than the ones from PFYC. The SC/T hood from PFYC has that ugly gap in the middle of the hood.

Like me, I think all of you will be happy with the hoods when you finally receive them.

well by the time i get the hood ill lose interest. plus, i know its not their fault about the CF but i have been thinking alot about it.(1) i was worried about teh CF hoods that if i didnt liek it, i would paint over it but then risk screwing up the CF ( i know its a thick sealent over it) but i am still running the risk. (2) i have been thinking of designs for the hood, soemthing that is not too drastic but also wont be a copy cat. and if i decide to sell my new hood later on, i could get the SD CF hood then if i can. and the demand wont be as high.

and if i could reply to lironet post: heres the pic from PFYC.com...now cmpare that to the CF SC/T hood that cerious is making....they both have the gaps. i mean im not trying to be a smartass, im just showing you

The PFYC SC/T Hood has a deaper gap in the middle part of the hood. BTW, the CF hood can easily be painted without any problems. My SC/T was purchased from Cerious & it only cost me $340 CND to have it painted. You can see my painted CF Hood in my member's garage page.

I'm with Sik on this one, just hang in there and wait it out guys. You're the lucky ones that are going to get one of these great looking hoods. I wish I had enough money to get in on it too, but unfortunately it's out of the budget for awhile. So if you guys had the money to do it when Sik brought this to the table, then just keep holding it. I'm sure you'll be more than happy once they are delivered.

i think i'm the only one who's happy with the news in a sort....i get back from deployment in May....this was planned for JAN-FEB, three months before......if it comes out around Apr-June, that's within the timeframe when i get back, the perfect time for me

and until then, i can work on getting the rest of the SC/T Kit
