i KNEW the viks wouldnt be good without moss. and sure as s*it i was right. no deep threat you can put 8 in the box, and when culpepper is in trouble, which is often now that defences have more options to blitz him, he cant just throw it up for moss to make some crazy a*s play. he still does throw it up, hence why he has been picked off more than any other qb in the nfl.
Just wanted to bring this post up again, cause they don't suck anymore.

yeah im baffled... that injury was the best thing that could have happened to them

edit: i just wanted to bring up something for any of you that don't give tom brady much credit.
he hurt himself earlier in the game when someone landed on his ankle on his run into the endzone, and im not saying he should be praised because he played hurt... but the fact that he called two QB draws and scrambled/hobbled for another first down is a little proof to his toughness. there was no way he was coming out of the game until he knew it was well in hand
i'm not trying to kiss his ass or anything, i just know a lot of people think he isnt very good, i still dont care for him that much. just saying i was impressed

yeah its still hard to say who is going to the playoffs. atleast its not like last year when the whole nfc sucked. i am not too concernd about the bears. one bad game doesnt mean the viks will catch up. they play the steelers next week and i think will get killed. the bears play atlanta in the snow at night at soilder feild. so there 2 game lead in the nfc north will be back next week. i hope cincy doesnt even make the playoffs! god i hate chad johnson! i still dont know how stong the seahawks are. i am leaning more tword tampa. there tearing it up.

yes the vikings are making a comback. lets recap there winning streak. detroit, nyg, g.b, clevland, detroit, and saint louis. the only good team with a WINNING RECORD is nyg. and if it hadent been for speacial teams getting 2 tds and the d getting 1 they would have lost 24-0. when they have to play the steelers they will loose they will probley win against baltimore, and they will loose to chicago. and i dont think 9-7 is going to make the playoffs. beating one team with a winning record in 6 games isnt too much to be proud of.

I think when you take a team that as of last year had two superstar caliber players (Daunte could be if he calmed the F down), trade one of them, the other gets hurt, then have some huge off-field problems... then they come out of nowhere and win 6 in a row? I'm impressed. After the first seven games, no one thought they would do sh!t, and now they're in contention for the playoffs. While they aren't great, I'm more than impressed with the turnaround.

You can make fun of how they won all you want, but all that matters in the end is the W.

it is when you turn it around from being absolutely horrible, in this league beating anyone is good

why do you hate chad johnson? i think he is magnificent. and tampa isnt really 'tearing' anything up, most of their games ive seen they havent looked that great on offense

if that steelers game is in minnesota then i pick pitt to lose

The Vikes are playing well right now, but as has been said, 5 of those 6 wins have come against less than wonderful teams. They are playing well as a team right now, but I honestly don't think they'll get to the playoffs. The Steelers proved they were a wounded animal willing to fight for life on Sunday. They will have to win all three games to get the other Wildcard spot. They sure as hell aren't going to back down against the Vikings just because it's in Minnesota. The Steelers play better on the road, too. Vikes will lose to Chicago IMO, too.

Tom Brady is a very tough quarterback. You can't deny that or his ability to lead his team. He's an extremely solid QB that is pretty well carrying the team right now, but he's not quite the diety that some make him out to be.

Chad Johnson is a great receiver. Many don't like his antics and think he's arrogant. That may be true, but it brings positive attention to the Bengals. He may have been shut up a few times, but otherwise he's proved that he can get the job done. I personally don't care for him or the Bengals for that matter, but you can't deny his ability either.

Lastly, KC and San Diego are the only two teams that can beat out Pittsburgh for the Wildcard in the AFC. The Jags are pretty well a lock seeing that they play a 1-12, 2-11, and a 4-9 team from here on out. Pittsburgh, of course has the Vikes this coming weekend, but then they have two 4-9 teams in Detroit and Cleveland. That is most certainly an easier road than KC or San Diego have. Plus, the two teams play each other in Week 16, so at least one is guaranteed a loss. San Diego has the Colts next week. The Chargers can beat them, but I don't think they will. In the last week, they have the Broncos at 10-3. I see them losing at least two of those games. KC has the Giants next week who are 9-4, then the Chargers, then the Bengals at 10-3. No way in hell are either of these two teams going to escape with three or even two wins. One may even lost all three. Pittsburgh looks to have the upper hand IMO.

ok ok chad johnson is a great rec. but last i checked so was t.o. and look what happens when you run your mouth. its not just chad, when ever an nfl player runs there mouth like thier gods gift to the universe, they go on my sh*tlist. like t.o moss, irvin, and now chad johnson. if he would just shut the f*ck up it wouldnt have a problem. but seeing his dumb celebrations every week is really starting to p*ss me off. and had the bengles of lost to the browns, people would have talked about it. but since they won no one really says anything. and just because your a good player doesnt make you a great one.

yes the viks have turned it around and have found a way to win. you cant take that away from them. saying culpepper was one of there star players is one of the biggest overstatments i have ever heard .he might of been there worst enemy. once they play a sound defence johnson will start making mistakes. look for that this week against the steelers.

winning is winning for tampa. and beating the 2 teams they had to beat to get on the top of there division is tearing it up. imo

i agree that pit will really have to f*ck up to not get a wildcard.

afc>nfc. i agree.
afc minus the colts: afc=nfc

here is what i would love to see in the playoffs in the afc. first round cincy looses to the pats. haha chad johnson. then n.e goes to indy and looses. then the colts see denver and the result is much like last year. that is what i would love to see. the pats beating the bengles first round to travel to indy to loose. just me. i think it would be great!

i don't know what people have against atheletes having some fun, it is supposed to be fun after all.

i beleive johnson isnt nearly as much as an ******* as he seems, he just has a good time being full of himself. and he limits his running of his mouth to about how good he is, which doesnt make him as bad as some others out there

if cincy wins their division they wont face the patriots in the first round or am i wrong? if the season ended today the pats would play jacksonville.... brings back memories

I also think being outside of a teams fanbase you loose some perspective.

Clinton Portis is one of the most humble and all around good people in the NFL. He holds weekly press confrences where he dresses up as a made up character, "Southeast Jerome", "Sherrif Gunna Getchia", "Dr. Idontknow", "Rev. Gunnachange". These conferences are a humourous outlet for Portis to keep up team spirit, he dosent speak as CP but about him. IE one week as Gunnna Change talked about how the skins needed to go back to the running game how CP had to focus in pratice about grinding yards on 3-short, etc.

However, other teams fans have commented about how CP is full of himself, his sexuality, etc after seeing photo captures of the press confrences, when in reality he's just trying to motivate his team and provide a comic relief.

Point being, we don't know how Chad Johnson is. He may just be motivitional to his team mates. Unless I hear him say something like TO did, there is no reason to "hate" him unless he's a divisional opponent

he does his check marks when he beats or burns a safety or cornerback he thinks is good. it doesnt always have to be him scoring. and pittsburgh isnt the only team... plus he had about 100 yards on them in one of those games. dont pat yourself on the back too hard
from what i know, the check marks are more specific towards defensive backs not teams in general

he had 2 catches for 22 yards against cleveland last week

this year he is averaging somewhere around 16 yards a catch thats pretty damn good

his using the pylon or whatever it is as a golf club was absolutely hilarious
