I think you're right, man. Favre isn't washed up or losing any talent as he gets older. He simply doesn't have that winning spirit he had in the late 90's and early 00's. But, today is going to be a damn good day. It's my birthday, there's a crapload of football on, and there's plenty of food, cookies, and beer in my future for tonight...

not really. although they at least have to win this or next week, who want to go into the playoffs on a 3 game skid?

If the Bucs get in i think they may have a chance. Seattle would be the only team I think to stand in there way.

the bucs lost to the pats then turned around and almost lost to atlanta, i would think they have there obvious weaknesses. however, like you said there arent many teams to worry about on that side other than the seahawks

The majority of the Colts game was their backups... Jim Sorgi played most of the game, while Peyton sat... I don't even think Harrison dressed, guessed he messed his hand up pretty bad last week. Seattle may have one, but honestly if Seattle was as good as everyone made them out to be, it would been a lot more of an a**whipping than it was. Overall I think our backups didn't do too bad against them...

I'm thinking The Colts will win next week... I think our backups are still better than Arizona!

Just sucks right now because its like "pre-season...part 2" These games just mean nothing, the colts aren't even trying...their won't be a real game again until the playoffs... I just hope they are ready...

We got plenty of time to heal up everyone, and practice and get ready. I said on N-body.net there are 3 Teams i'm sweating in the playoffs: Cincinatti, New England, and San Diego. Its possible we could meet any of those teams, and they are all capable of beating the colts. Theres no room for mistakes, if theres a re-match between San Diego and Indy, Indy better have their SH** together this time, I don't know what was up with that game last week...the whole time I was like "Where the hell is our offenseive line?" plus on top of that, Defense made 3 huge mistakes that cost us our game...though they had a lot more playing time becuase offense was powerless...that had to be a record low yardage for the season for the colts.

looks like you are right... I just went to NFL.com, didn't realize the chargers lost today. guess thats a good thing. I've said it before and I'll say it again, theres no reason for Indianapolis to sweat Denver... they may have got lucky and had a good season, but if they cross our path in the playoffs...well remember last year? LoL I look for a rematch in the playoffs between the 2 teams to be the same sort of thing.

So far looks like the following AFC teams have secured a playoff position:

Indianapolis
Denver
Cinncinati
New England
Jacksonville

Can't wait for the playoffs to begin...its gonna be a good matchup...its somewhat of a relief knowing your team has homefield advantage...however my fears of the Colts crashing and burning aren't completly gone yet... New England and Cincinatti are both very capable of taking the Colts down. If the Colts play full strength they don't stand a chance. I am keeping in mind the "only team that can beat the colts...is the colts" theory, which IMO is how they lost to San Diego. inotherwords, theres no room for mistakes when playing new england, or cincy!

I just keep thinking "come on guys, just 2 games and you're there!"

anyway the news about tony Dungy's son is a shock... unbelievable acctually...and even more unbelievable that it was ruled a suicide. Has to be hell for him right now. My thoughts and prayers will be with him.

Yeah, I'm not surprised by today's game at all. I didn't get to watch the game (God I hate being stuck over here on the west coast when my boys are doing good), but it seems that if Seattle was really all that, they would have beat the Colts by more than they did today. The Arizona game should be cake. I think our second string is better than they are, but I am just looking for the big W... who cares about these games anymore. I want to buy a Colts Superbowl Champions shirt when I go to Indy in April, and I don't think my boys are going to let me down this year!

Yeah, I can't believe what happened to Dungy's son. Someone told me they heard it was suicide.

sounds like you have the same views I got...yeah right now its "Preseason part II" As soon as san diego met them on an off day and we lost, I lost interest in the regular season... I knew that was pretty much it..no more "REAL" colts games untill January. I think my original 14-2 prediction will hold true...hey its not a perfect season like we wanted, but going through a whole NFL season with 2 losses is pretty impressive. Hell even if we go 13-3, thats still pretty good!

I can't wait for the playoffs to begin! They only have to win 2 post season games, most likely at teams they've allready shown who's boss. I know one thing about our colts, and thats when it matters, we play tougher! I honestly think we lost to San Diego because at that point we had Playoff birth, a 1rst round bye, and home field advantage... that and the players even said they haven't put much focus on the "undefeated" season. they caught us on an off day, happens all the time. I was on the site and even the analyst have said "they still haven't discoverd the true blueprint for beating the colts...they caught them on an off day! had the game meant something, San diego wouldn't of won!"

I really feel like this is our year...and if we can keep our team together, It may not be the last superbowl appearance from the colts. Last year I really thought we could do it, but after seeing the difference in the 2004 colts, and 2005 colts, I know now that last year we were just a good team, but this year we got the stuff champions are made of. #1. Offense, #4 defense! I think by far they are the most balanced team in the NFL, and I don't think any NFC team can take 'em...if we make it to the superbowl, we are winning!

yeah GO COLTS!

seattle had the game in hand the whole way, just because they dont throw on every down and try to score as much as they can like the colts doesnt mean it was as close as the score made it look

they ran a lot and used the clock wisely, they protected their starters while playing them at the same time.

and i agree, indy is the most balanced and best team in the NFL, but they lack big game experience and in my eyes good coaching, manning is given too much control, especially in almost mandatory running situations when he passes. which is one reason why i beleive they lost to the chargers who didnt even play their best.

and that excuse for losing to san diego saying they didnt put that much into it... give me a break, anyone who watched the game could see how upset manning was and how bad he wanted to win. whichever player said that (i bet not a one did) is flat out lying. they were caught on an off day. but san diego showed some weaknesses. and there is no reason to make excuses, the team is still great... thats just sad if thats what the players really said

shut down the run -> pressure manning... then get the most out of every posession. thats the simple formula, still tough to execute however

in my eyes, teams that can beat the colts
MAYBE, big maybe a healthy patriots, i give the edge on coaching. but each defensive player would have to play the game of his life, not likely
and the seahawks. thats it

oh and i dont know how you can think jacksonville can beat you guys

Thanks for the birthday wishes, fellas. Appreciate it!

I don't think there's anything to fear about the Colts losing two in a row, either. They had better win their last one if they want to have any sort of mental edge heading into January, though. I still think it'll be Seattle and the Colts in the Super Bowl if my Steelers don't make an unreal run.

Yes, the Steelers will get to the playoffs. The only team they have left to get past is KC. The Steelers play the Lions. The Chiefs play the Bengals. I like the Steelers chances a little better. Plus, Pittsburgh is already a full game up on KC, so Pitt would have to lose and KC would have to win for any chance....isn't happening. Not with the way the Steelers have played recently. They're hitting their peak and at the right time. 41-0...impressive.

Lastly, did you guys see the dumbass fan from Cleveland run on the field yesterday? If not, the guy went after Verron Haynes (Steelers FB) and Kenard Lang shoved him hard to get him away from Haynes. Well, James Harrison wasn't having any of this, so he picked the dude up and slammed him to the ground. I was listening to it on the radio and didn't know what to do with myself. The whole time I was thinking, the Steelers can whip the sh*t out of the Browns AND their fans...

Needless to say, it was a great birthday with the Steelers kicking ass and all that...

I compltely agree. All the seahawks wanted was the home field adavantage, which they got in the 2nd half they barely had Alexander in, the only time they would put him in was to get the touchdown. Oh well I don't care if it was a blow out all not, all I care was for them to win this game to get the home field. Looks like all the rest of the NFC have to come to Seattle now

Well all I have to say is I "Remember 1995".... the Steelers are going down this year against the Colts in the AFC Championship. The Steelers will be watching the Superbowl at home. I want revenge for that game, we should had went to the Superbowl that year against the Cowgirls. That game pretty much killed the Colts while Harbaugh was with us..... then along came Pey-day.... I watched the Colts suck for so many years... heaven forbid I even mention Jeff George!!! I have no stats to quote... or any of that stuff. All I know is that my boys are going to do it this year, I can feel it. GO HORSE!!!!!
