super bowl picks

Well if by some miracle they do.... they will get no further. Especially if they play the sloppy football they played against the Colts in that Monday night game. The Colts really didn't WIN that game... the Steelers just lost it for themselves. The Colts didn't play their best game that night, the Steelers just sucked. So you're probably right... they won't even get that far... guess we'll just have to see.

I hear you man, I remember that game...if I recall we got screwed on 2 plays that kept us out of the superbowl... I can't remember what the first one was, but their was the huge pass at the end of the game, that I swear was caught, hell everyone swore it was caught, and they ruled it incomplete...

We totally got screwed out of the superbowl...then this great city screwed things up for our next season... I mean your coach gets you within one play of the superbowl, then you fire him? Doesn't make sense!

I really feel like its our year... I think the AFC is going to see an even tougher team in the playoffs. Dungy and the colts had 4 goals this year: Division title, first round bye, homefield advantage, win superbowl: So far they've completed 3 out of those 4 goals... I doubt they are going to let the 4th one get away!

Anyone remember John Elway's quote about how he'd rather quit the NFL and play baseball then play for the Colts... I hope he's at home crying right now watching Peyton Manning break all his petty little records!

And that hail mary at the end of the 1995 AFC championship... nah, I don't think he caught it... as much as I would have liked to believe it. What made me mad was the touchdown that Stewart caught that should not have counted because he went out of bounds. If it wasn't for that, that hail mary wouldn't have mattered.

well see thats the problem, the colts have had so much hype, rightfully deserved, that if they do anything BUT win the superbowl, it will just be a shortcoming.

when the pats won, no one thought they would, so it was much easier to think of the fact they might lose, and when they went again, they had already won one two seasons earlier so again the thought was easier, and still no one really gave them much hype. then the 3rd same stuff, they had just won.

the colts great season has set them up for glory or for a heartbreaking finish
which sure is exciting either way for non indy fans

lets just say if the colts crash and burn, I'll probably do the same thing I did last year when we lost to new england...get drunk off my ass...it really is depressing... yeah this year after winning our first 13 games we HAVE to make it, or it really will be hearbreaking...I'll never forget when the chicago bulls went like 72-10 for a season and had hats that said "72-10... don't mean a thing without a ring!" Thats about how I feel... winning 13 games straight, a division title, a first round bye, and homefield advantage don't mean SH** without a superbowl ring...

if i remember right the steelers should not have won that game. as i recall on one of the steelers td passes the receiver steped out of the back of the endzone and then came back in to make the catch. indy should have been in the super bowl then.

does anyone other than me think that if the bears made it to the super bowl and played the colts that they would win? i think its simple. confuse the line and get to manning. somthing the bears have been doing great all year is getting pressure with the front 4. then start bringing urlacher and briggs on 1 side. good luck stopping that.

^^ I agree, if they get a good rush up front with maybe one or two LB then they will rattle the He!! out of Manning. Chicago's DB's are fast enough to compensate.

i think there isnt a chance in hell of that happening. manning is the best qb in the nfl when it comes to getting rid of the ball with quick slants and screens and what have you

plus indy's D will keep putting their offense on the field over and over again.. with the bears O giving their D no rest

i think the only thing chicago would have going for them in that game is how well their defense can disguise their coverage. i think it would give manning hell trying to call plays from the line. aside from that....colts > bears

Badboy, that pic you posted was on the AP wire tonight. I had to put the newspaper together tonight, so I put that pic in there really freaking huge...HAHAHA! That guy is a dumbass and deserves to be choke slammed.

In the 1995 AFC Championship game, the Colts had their chances. They didn't capitalize on them. My dad was at that game and told me about it. I've also seen the entire thing on ESPN Classic. The TD that was caught by Kordell Stewart was in fact not supposed to be a TD. He did step out of the back of the endzone RIGHT IN FRONT of the ref, but it was still ruled a score. After that touchdown, I can't remember who it was for the Colts, but he had a clear interception with no one in front of him. Had he caught the ball, he would have ran it in for a score and the game would have been over. But, he didn't catch the ball. Simple as that. The hail mary at the end was clearly not a catch by the Colts receiver. I'm saying that as unbiased as I can. The guy just flat out didn't catch it. I've said my peace. That was 16 years ago...let it go...

I do in fact believe this is the Colts' year to do it. Like has been said, Indy will be seen as a disappointment if they do anything other than win the Super Bowl. I honestly wouldn't count the Steelers out. They're playing incredibly strong football right now and the playoffs are going to be a load of fun to watch.

Props to the Pats for the last win on MNF on ABC tonight. I find it sort of funny that the Jets lost the first MNF game in 1970 by a score of 31-21 to the Browns and they lost the last one tonight 31-21 to the Pats...weird.
