After the Pats win I rooted on the Steelers yesterday against Cincy, and considering all the crap Cincy was putting out there, I don't think the Steelers capitalized on it as much as the Steelers of old would. I'm sorry, but I just don't think the Steelers have what it takes to beat the Colts this year. They are just so hot. I predict Pats over Denver, Indy over Pittsburg in the AFC. In the NFC... I dunno. If someone had a gun to my head, I would say Seattle and Carolina. But don't want to down the Skins fans on here....

...we'll just have to see this weekend!!

And and all, all I really have to say is let the best team (Indianapolis) win.

GO COLTS!

^^ I think it will be a damb good game. If that crazy samoan gets to Manning early then the Colts will be in trouble. But regardless this will be a good game.

^^ That crazy Samoan had better keep his head on straight. I could have gotten in my car, driven to Cincy, and taken a billy club to his face after he pulled that crap down on the goal line. The Bengals would have had a 4th and 6 and been forced to kick a field goal instead of getting a fresh set of downs for Palomalu's idiocy. Ok, so he would beat the living snot out of me, but I was still pretty mad.

Also, it seems people either love or hate the Steelers. There is no common ground. The Cincy radio stations and newspapers even called for a shunning of Pittsburgh. They declined selling Steelers fans tickets to the game. If a (412) or (724) area code came up on the caller ID at the ticket place, they wouldn't even pick up. That's just ridiculous.

The allegations concerning the microphones in Indy are pretty shady, but we just flat out lost that game. However, this game coming up is going to be different in my eyes. I have all the faith in the world in the Steelers, but the Colts are extremely strong. I was confident we could beat the Bengals (which happened), but we are going to have to play the best game of the season to beat the Colts.

Zac, where did you pull that quote from? "Whining like their quarterback did"? WTF??? If an NFL coach wants to be five years old, then that's stupid.

Honestly I think Cincinatti would of won had Carson Palmer not been hurt within the second play... I was just like "oh...sh*T!" After such an awesome play too.

I feel like Denver isn't as tough as people make them out to be, and I feel like New England will probably beat them... but I hope I'm wrong. I just hate for it to come between the Colts and the Pats to get to the superbowl... Indy proved they could beat New England, but the past couple years they Colts have seemed to break down to New England in the Playoffs. Peyton Manning was practically hitting receivers in the numbers last year, they couldn't catch the ball for Sh*t!

14-2 just don't mean a thing without a ring!

Worst argument ever.
It might affect thier ability to call coverage audiables, but usually thats done with hand signals anyway.

As someone else said, when do people get on thier feet and yell? When your teams on defense. When on offense the only time you cheer is after catch/run/first down/TD, etc, not during the huddle/play-calls.

Add in whoever said turn the mics off for our offense also.

And if the mics were legit, Why were they there?

As I said though, don't think it had much to do with the loss, non the less, it's illegal by NFL rules.

I was honestly waiting for someone to say something about this. I completely disagree. Look at Kitna's numbers... 24 of 40, 197 yards, 60% completion, one TD and two INT's. Sure, the two INT's weren't very good, but he still stepped in and played VERY well for the circumstances. One player, I don't care how good he is, doesn't dictate a TEAM'S performance. I am very confident that if Ben went out (again) that Charlie Batch would have stepped in there and the Steelers still would have won the game. The Bengals actually had 41 more passing yards than Pittsburgh. Take away the 66-yarder Palmer threw when he got hurt, Kitna still stayed up there with Ben's numbers. However, the Steelers' defense shut down the Bengal's run game (84 yards) and a lot of the special teams plays. Those have nothing to do with the quarterback. Also, the Bengals had the ball longer in total time of possession. The Steelers were just more efficient. I will agree Kitna looked nervous at times, but he still put up good numbers and led the team well. Had Carson Palmer been in there, I think it would have been a little closer, but the Steelers still would have wanted the game more.

I think what Chad Johnson did before the game was awesome, too. I mean, the guy makes millions and would never have to interact with fans at all if he didn't want to. He doesn't get paid to please the fans. But, he still went out there with the tailgaters and had some fun. Ben's done that before along with a couple other Pittsburgh players like Hines Ward. It's really great to see the players be so thankful and down to earth with their fans. Love or hate Chad Johnson, you gotta respect the man for doing that.

well i watched the game and kitna played scared and timid the whole second half, your WRs wont have a good game with a QB like that. i have a feeling most of his completions were in the first half and early 3rd quarter

i never said chad wasnt an awesome wr or anything like that. i just wanted to mention that he will be watching the super bowl this year from his couch like the rest of us. good for him shaking everyones hands and tailgating. perhaps he has more class than i thought. but he still looks like an a*s in my eyes. and he should stick to the wr job because he isnt very physhic.

I like the guy, personally he cracks me up...

I remember when they were playing the colts, and right after Manning through a pass to Wayne and scored a touchdown within one play, Palmer through one to Johnson and Jounson went nuts! Running around acting crazy, then he went up to this Hot Bengal Cheerleader, and proposed to her, . Then he held up sign that said something about TO

I don't think he's intentionally trying to be an A** I think he's just having fun! Thats cool as hell that he went out there and tailgated with the fans.

But yeah I like Palmer, and Johnson, and really after the game with the colts I have gained respect for the squad. Oh yeah..and they do have the best looking uniforms in the NFL, I gotta admit. Those tigerstripes are just cool!

oh yes i forgot one more thing

"who gonna beat them bengles?"

perhaps more time should have been spent on watching game film, instead of making a film. now i know what your gonna say so dont, " well if palmer wouldnt have gotten hurt. . ." yes but he did. an no one on this earth knows what would have happened had he played the whole game. so its really a dumb argument.

personally i just like to see teams/players that are full of themselves go down. thats just me. say what you will i will always think its funny.

thats fine and all, but chad works as hard as anyone else does, he just likes being in the spotlight. there are plenty of people who are full of themselves in the NFL that display it in a pompous or negative way.

which is why i like the type of character chad displays.

he could just walk around like peyton and burress or keyshawn and some others with a pout on his face, or looking around like its everyone elses fault everytime a play doesnt go the right way.

note: mannings just may be a look, but he does it almost everytime a pass is incomplete. funny to watch

^^ I've noticed Manning's face, too. Like a lost puppy that just had his bone stolen. The guy's a great quarterback, but he wears his emotions on his sleeve way too much. Ben does this every once and a while, too, but he's been in the league 2 years. Peyton's been in it 7-8 years and he's still doing it...

Yeah Peyton works harder than most players in the NFL, so its no wonder he's upset when things don't go hes way... on his days off he watches films and study's the game... he's one of the hardest working players in the league, and a perfectionist. He makes occasional mistakes, but most of the time it ISN'T his fault when things doin't go his way.
