I was wrong, here it is from NFL.com
18/30COMP 177YDS 2TD 1INT
So worse completion, better yardage, 60 yrds that last drive.

this is only his second season guys. he can have a bad game or two. i mean look at Farve this week. he is one h*ll of a qb, that took alot to say, and he had a bad week. it happens. i think big ben will get alot better with time, not worse. although he didnt look too great he did not just throw the ball to ward. he spread the ball out well. atleast i thought.

Well, it kind of gets old hearing about how good he is.
Is he a good QB, hell yeah, but not as good as I every media outlet likes to spew about him.

he isnt that good if you ask me (good yes, but not amazing by any means), not because i hate pitt, because i have seen him play and his calmness is impressive, but his actual skill... accuracy especially is not. decision making is shaky from time to time, but that will come with experience

he still stares down WRs and telegraphs too much

i can only imagine what his completion percentage would be if ward wasnt there

he is not the best qb in the nfl. i agree with that. but to take a team to the acf chapionship your rookie year says something. the most important thing for a qb is not what shows up on paper. but how well he performs when he HAS to. when the game is on the line. like against balt. we all said his best drive was the last one. he got it done. winning is everything. if he couldnt perform under pressure i would agree with you. but when its do or die, he just flat out does. remember he is only in his 2nd year. great accomplishments(sp?) are yet to come for young ben.

i'm surprised you feel that way Matt. In all reality he should remind you very much of your own QB tom brady. Not an amazing athlete, but gets the job done. Play best when it counts the most.

brady i would say has better QB talent, but not very athletic thats for sure, his composure does remind me of brady's. but i feel brady's talent is overrated as well.

i was speaking purely about qb talent, accuracy and whatnot
ben is a good leader and solid when it counts. which is why i still say he is good. but it annoys me when people argue with me about how he is so great

Passer rating is the best statistical means to calculate the overall effectiveness of a quarterback in the NFL. This rating is designed based on efficiency (accuracy), turnovers, and scoring.

Ben was rated #5 out of 32 teams last year as a rookie, and is currently 12 points ahead of Carson Palmer for the lead through 7 games this season.

Not good on paper?

to be good in my book you have to prove yourself by actually throwing a moderate amount of passes over a season, hell even in more than 1 game a year

i dont think its hard for an nfl player to throw 12 or 9 complete passes in a whole game
and for someone who does that to be compared to all other QBs who throw over 20 a game, bothers me

i mean brady is 5th in qb rating but has thrown 119 more passes than big ben, so therefore there is more chance for the true numbers to come through

again, im not saying anyone is a bad quarterback, i just dont like the kiss ass credit ben gets

very true. I think he's way overhyped. I believe he's a good QB but not in the same class as the manning's or pre sports hernia McNabb.

aight well my input...the steelers are a running team, always have been and always will be. The reason ben doesn't throw a lot is because we depend a lot more on the run game to kill the clock once we get the lead. Not to give ben to much props, but he does put up the stats to show that he is a good qb.

i went to the game on monday and i def saw some things that he needs to work on, rookie mistakes that he still makes and stuff like that, and in another year or so, i think he will be up there with many of the qb's excluding manning. manning is a totally different breed of a qb and picks apart every defense that he comes against with the audibles and hot routes...no way to compare ben to that

basically, he def has some rookie tendencies but the leadership he brings to the team and also the city is uber important and will help him even more the rest of the year and into next

Pre Injury McNabb was a beast. If he wasn't hurt I believe Philly would be 1st in the NFC.

again steeler fans we are not saying big ben sucks. all we are tryin to say is he isnt the best qb in the league as the stats might indicate. i like ben, and i like the steelers. ben is an excellent qb for only his 2nd year. his winning % show that. which is where all the hype comes from. he is a crunch time qb. when it needs to get done he gets er done. thats really the most important stat out there. oh wait its not a stat. but it should be. not just for qb but about every position in the game.

as for mr.orten. he isnt a bad back. . . when he doent play cinci. 4-3 aint bad for a rookie qb. i would just rather see ben, or anther qb with a little more experiance. but i dont think he sucks. infact if he keeps learning i will even venture to say that he will be the best bears qb since. . . wait have the bears ever had a really qb? hmm. i guess you could say mcmahn, but he was more of a "up yours" qb than anything. anyways go orten and go bears.
