Good to see the drive-a-long worked for you as well.

The actual repair on my car was only listed at 4.5 hours, but they had the car from Monday night (right before closing) to Thursday night.... wtf

damn....well however long it takes to fix it is fine with me as long as its fixed. but i hope i never find food or change missing.yesterday, i turned the car over to the mechanics, and waited for like 20 minutes and then they picked me to go test out my car, and i totally forgot my money and id's were laying on the passenger seat. i stepped inside my car and it was sitting there. i had over a 100 dollars in there, but everything was still there. i just smiled at the mechanic and told him im glad i can trust him.

Speaking of tranny's I have a question on fluid changes, are we suppose to get a transmission service(69.95) or trasmission flush(89.95) on our cars I got a phamphlet from our dealer today showing what kind of services they do and I didn't quite understand the difference between the two, oh and at what intervals are we suppose to get this done at?

I had my car in for a week in August for tranny work. Had an SES light, had something to do with it not shifting into overdrive. Never got an explanation of what exactly was the problem. They didn't put it back together quite right as I still have a front end clunk, new brake pedal only partially fixed it.
For rental I had a choice between a Geo Metro or an S10, obviously I took the S10. Think it had a 4L V6 but it felt more like a 4 cyl.

Mine started to slip on my 2001 gt1 at 16,000 miles. Took it in, dealership said nothin wrong. The problem got progressively worse- still said nothing wrong- dumped the car. I would think that a tranny would last more than 16K miles without having a problem. Who knows. Hopefully they get it right for 2006 when the new ones come out.

well for me, they told me what my car was doing, but they havent looked at it yet. not untill tomorrow but i willl find out why this happened. but it could be if you are in reverse and shift into drive with the car still rolling. i have done this a lot without even knowing and that couldve been my prob. i dont know, ga trannys are usually durable. at least what i heard.
