Fair word of warning. I might make sure that the front plate was on the car and don't speed at Busse Woods. I have seen them radaring people inside the park and have actually seen them do a front plate "sting" in there too. I think that is absolutely ridiculous in forest preserve, but that's what they have done. Just be carefull there and don't act stupid cause they will probable get you if you do around there.

Yay! I have people to cruise with!! Very cool, i'm totally excited for this. Dammit, I gotta put my front plate on!?!? That's lame. How much is the ticket for no front plate? What if I have it with me, and just not on?? haha.

I think maybe a lil' closer to the meet we can figure out who's bringing what. It is still only February. It'll be easier to plan for how many people will be there so we know how much of what to bring. Hey...look at that Jim. A logical reason for a list to start to figure how many exactly are going.

ANNNnnnd for those of you coming from around my area, or near. We can start our own lil' convoy thread once the time comes and figure out a meet up place, etc.

I'm going down Friday tho!! So will nobody be rolling with me?

Or I guess I could go really early Sat morning.... but I'd have to leave at like 5 am.

And mark me up on the add-front-plate crew.

I'm not adding mine. How can they bust me if my car is from another state that doesn't require front plates? Thats like trying to pull over Florida plates with tint.

Do you really think they will give Wisconsin registered vehicles a hard time with no front plate? I didnt have mine on at the last meet and all was good. I'm honestly not sure where my 2nd plate actually is. I dont think I'm gonna worry bout it.

Yea.... see, we're supposed to have them in MN (not that I've ever been bothered about it in the 2+ years I've been driving without it). Maybe I'll just keep it on my dash, saying that a bolt broke off or something and I am waiting till I get home + back to MN to fix it.

I am not saying that they WILL nail you. I am saying I have seen this done before. Usually more around the holidays when they can nail lots of people and make lots of money for B.S. tickets. It's likely they wont bother anyone but keep in mind they have done this at Busse before. Just wanted to give people fair warning cause I know several of us try not to run with ugly radar friendly front plates.

Ya- Ive never had one on any of my cars since I have gotten my license in 96. I have been pulled over a TON of times for speeding and they have never given me a hard time about it or even said anything about it. I'll play the stupid card if need be and tell them that A-I didnt get a 2nd plate and B-I didnt know that there was a spot for one.

if you're from a state that doesnt require a front plate, throwing a ticket out should be no problem.

as far as food goes i think we're gonna wait till everyone shows then pool money and run for some burgers and stuff really quick. thats what my understanding was before we trimmed the thread down.

I didn't know that was the understanding AJ?! I don't like that idea. I say. We start a list of who's gonna be there and who's going to eat. Based on that, we all bring something different. OR. If someone is willing to......someone buys everything and everyone forks over $5 bucks or somethin' when they get there if they are going to eat. (obviously price is based on what the total was of all food purchased).

when we had the BBQ for the chicago GA club the moderators/committe members (ones in charge) pretty much bought everything. You guys can either paypal one person a couple bucks each and they all go get something are just start a new thread with a food list - and keep it ON TOPIC!

Did you guys reserve a grill area at Busse or no?
