Disabling ALL Traction control on 98 GA GT?

my 98 even with traction OFF, still kicks in... Is there a fuse or something to pull or wire a switch to override ALL traction systems? Im pretty sure it pulls timing if it spins even with trac OFF, i know our GTPs, we pull a fuse at the track but you still can spin pretty heavy with the fuse in.

I know with the 99+ cars you can pull the ABS fuse to kill all the traction control when trying to dyno on a stock PCM. Try it and see if it works, I am guessing it should work just as well as with the GTPs that had to do it.

Ha ha, yeah, I was tryin to cool my front rotors (brake ducting, that was a PITA, which is about impossible), and I must've loosened the connection for the ABS sensor or whatever one the hub, cause now it always chimes when I start up, and the "TRAC OFF" and "ABS" lights are always on. It's cool with me though, because I don't get ABS all the time when I'm driving, plus even if the trac control switch shuts most stuff off, its a pain to press every time I start up the car. Will pulling the fuse turn those lights on my cluster off, or no?

The only real way to fully disable all traction control and torque management is by reprogramming your PCM. You would be surprised just how much it is established in the the calibration.

pulling the fuse will set the lights, like Todd said the only way to do it with out the lights is with a tune in the PCM, but for the quick fix, day at the track, pulling the abs does okay for a stock PCM
