cant be picky when the car is given to you though, my dad went out said I am buying you a car and came back with just the stock SE, but I cant complain, its the first car ive ever worked on, it was liek the test car for any future car i do, all the body work was done by me and my dad in our driveway with no experience ever, like i said its been a test car basically. I love tampering with things, i cant help it, liek the body kit came and i messed around with it, ended up molding it to the car, imma fill in some of the holes like ya'll brought up, floormats will go, but not a main priority on my list cause it can be done anytime, exhaust will prolly get re-done real soon as a matter of fact, euros imma mess around with some and fogs i will also.

its something to be creative with and have fun with, its something i tried out to see if i liked and i love it, and i appreciate all the ideas guys, everything has been taken into account.

motor wont get re-done for a long time, but what im thinkin bout since i only have the 2.4 and ive been thinking bout this for a long time is bagging the car, ive seen gtgoddess grand am and looking at hers just made me want to bag it even more, i want to take out my back seats and fiberglass in the air tank and paint everything red to match the exterior, its an idea of what i want to do, but im not sure how it would come out

Just wondering, but those rims that were on the car when you got it...are those 15" or 16"?

Edit: hahah I love the "This Sucks!" in the window

Damn, that really sucks...I would have worked out a deal that they pay for half or something. Thanks for the rim size, because I know where a set of 16" 5-star rims are for my car, for $300 and I was debating on getting them, since they might look real small.

Yeah I know, but I don't know how aftermarket 16s would look.

Is that a cavalier hood? The wires in the trunk look sloppy and the body kit, graphics, tails and hood need to go.

first i must congratulate on handeling all of the STUPID comments and questions. id be going insane right now.

i give you a 10 for originality for that hood.
rims are nice too.
not a fan of that body kit, but hey, its painted and its molded, so youve put work into it.

as far as suggestions...id bag it first of all. its a show car, not a race car. youd be surprised how bags will get you attention, once its on the ground.

then id just stick with intake, chip, and new exhaust. for chip i would have said ASE, but thats no longer available. check around, theres lots of sites that sell stuff. see what interests you. its your car, so take our feedback and use it for ideas.

BTW check out my sounddomain page in my sig to maybe get some ideas.

One thing to keep in mind is to not go too overboard with the red. It's great and all to coordinate colors, but if you put too much red into the interior, it might get to the point that people feel overwhelmed when viewing the vehicle. My suggestion is that you come up with a second color to incorporate into the vehicle when doing mods so that you can get a theme going.

Other than that, I personally think you've done a great deal of work for having no experience in doing it, and I applaud you for the work done. Some things arent to my taste, but some are. And as usual, its your car and you can do what you want with it.

Edit: As I was reading I saw you want suggestions for the sides so its not so plain. One thing you could do is put a small pinstripe down the side, its very simple and might sound almost too slight, but trust me it makes a NICE difference. Won't cost that much to do and it will give the car some taste without seeming too farfetched or out there.

it wont cost me anything because me and my dad have a decal business, so everything with decals is also an experiment, we have never done that before, but he got really into glass etching, so he bout a decal machine and always used it backwards for decals, and then we got the bright idea to start makin decals and see how it would come out, so we experimented with that, and well it started doin good because we dont try to screw people, so after like after a year of doin decals we are in the process of making a site and trying to be as big as possible

i guess its just in the blood to have to f*** around with something and cant just leave it along

yea i kinda got that way after i painted the interior on like wow, this is a lot of red so yea, i kinda had that in my head as well

and caraudiodave, thats probably exactly what I was going to do. Im going to work offshore on an oilplatform, i work 2 weeks, get off 1 week, work 2 weeks get off 1 week, and that will be all summer, and i make boucou money, i think i will make 3500 after 2 weeks after taxes. But ur right, mine wasnt really made for the performance edge so im pretty much just gonna lay it on the ground, and the body kit will have some changes over the summer because the 1 week im off, im gonna be workin on that car nonstop.

Botlfed actually had a custom hood just like that a long time ago. It's still fairly rare on GA's though. Most have SC/T hoods.

Even if it was still available, I'd never recommend ASE. Their pcm was such a hack job (about as good as the intense grand am pcm). If you aren't going to do your own tuning, then the only off the shelf pcm even worth considering is DHP. That along with intake/exhaust won't get you a lot of power, but it's a nice little boost. After that you start getting into more expensive and involved modds like heads, headers, cams, nitrous, etc.

aaron, i value your opinion, but ill disagree with you in my case. i went to ASEs studio in orange, CA and i watched him do the soldering. im an electrical engineering student and i can tell when theres a hack job. he probably cheesed it when people sent in their PCMs, but not with them there waiting.

with that said, i have been thinking about scrapping it and getting DHP since ASE and their "lifetime warranty" no longer really exist.

Since when do you solder a PCM to tune it?
