man that would be sweet. i am soo gonna wash mine when we get there to. its knda pointless to spend all that time detailing before a road trip, if you dont wash the car when you get there. if you want me to bring anything speaical let me know, check out the last pic, on the first page of my cardomain to see what i mean.

Well I haven't waxed the car at all since I've purchased it. And the first time I washed her, I was sat in absolute HORROR at the amount of crap that was stuck in the paint. Rail dust, cigerette sparks and stains from jerks on the freeway, black splotches. You name it, its in the paint. Hence it took me FOREVER to clean out the crap. And I still have tons left over that will have to come out another time. Otherwise, I did the best I could.

I wish I woulda taken a picture of the claybar, it was BROWN from all the stuff that was coming up out of the paint. All in all, very worth it. And atleast I know the paint's protected from the elements on the road trip. If need be, i'll do it again when I get back. Otherwise I think it'll be fine. I posted up pics too a few pages back.

well maybe if i have a car, such as a GTO some day, it'll be worth spending that much time in cleaning the exterier. BUT I don't. It's only a GrandAm. And hopefully i'll be getting a new paint job this year, so i'm not gonna waste my time haha

1st, I hate you people for having nice weather. It's kinda raining, 45 degrees or so here. Sucks.
2nd, I just went out to try and clean my car a bit... and it's dirty as HELL. I'm never going to get it even somewhat clean for this weekend. My engine bay has mud everywhere, the outside is dirt/mud on the bottom half, and the number of dents and rock chips make me want to cry. I seriously don't want to spend another dollar on this car after the springs and exhaust.
3rd- I finally broke out the struts I want to install on Friday... and damn, they look like they're from the 80's.

do you guys have carwashes up there? Maybe try one of those instead of breaking your back doing it yourself.

Yea, we do... but if I wash it today, it's just going to get muddy tonight. So what's the point?

I'm going for a world record today, full exterior detail in 3 hours and full interior detail in about the same amount of time. I'm gonna take before and after pictures as well.

Finish out my laptop mount tonight....o lord, this is gonna be INSANE!
