Even with every mod out possible you'll never hit 11's with a GAGT.

I think vettes bearly hit 11's. But you can get well into the high 13's with some serious ones. Good luck!! here's a start

Run a RSM supercharger, spray a high shot of NOS, go on a very strict diet and yank out all your interior components...hmm thats just a start. but still, 11's is possible but if you want to spend that much on getting there all i can say is good luck.

With the right parts 11's can be run. It's just a matter of who wnats to dump that much into a GA. Actually you should check out some of KillerQuads videos if you still doubt it how close one can come on a minimal budget with a 4 banger GA.

As for a Vette, in Stock form they can dip into the 12s and a ZO6 will run 12s all day long. Modded they can hit 11's but Vette are drag cars, their IRS makes them difficult to launch properly.

Tankengine,
Personally I would dump the NOS and run away from that trend. Rebuild the motor, lower the static compression so it can handle some decent intercooled boost via a centrifugal supercharger. Nice forged internals, properly picked and carefully assembled parts you can make some nice power. Reduce your vehicle weight, a beefed transaxle, a set of drag radials or slicks and learn how drag and your times should improve.

I will control myself.

10K is what anyways in US like 8-9 or something rite... so...

Dude unless your rebuilding this YOURSELF... your going to spend HALF of that money on LABOR alone!!!!

So youve got what 4-5k left???

That will get you a SC and some nitrous and your already done. And you will have a 13sec car like Spaz.

Do the work YOURSELF.... i dont even know what parts you could buy for the 3.4L that would allow you to make such horse power to run 11s. Your going to need a LOT of boost thats for damn sure... and a built transmission as well. Not to mention traction!!! Your going to need drag slicks that stick out 2 feet from your car!

Im not making fun of you bro, but there is just no way on a 8K us budget that your going to run 11s. For a FWD car to run 11s you have to push about 400HP at least. For you to get 400WHEEL horse power AND get traction, its going to require doing the work yourself AND 20K on top of that.

YOUR BEST BET.... swap a V8 into it Like *** did. Build up a small block V8 and SC it.... some how find a way to get traction and you MIGHT have 12s there.

Other than that i dunno what to tell you.

Put this in perspective for you.....
We just finished building a T3/T4 turbo Front wheel drive GS Eclipse. 420A non turbo motor made turbo. Forged internals with everything but lifter and retainers upgraded. MSD ignition control. Car has 2 sets of fuel injectors totaly 8 all together, 255lph fuel pump with FPR. Full 3" exhaust and Tial external dumped wastgate. Front mount intercooler. This car WILL a MINIMAL of 350 at the front wheels after he breaks it in and runs 16psi on 94oct. he will BE LUCKY to run mid 12s at the track.

With RWD or FWD TRACTION is always a problem. Now i dont think Spaz and the other guys are making enough HP to break their tires loose through all the gears, but if you go putting 15+PSI of boost to the ground, your going to be spinning them through all the gears and your 60's will hold you back from running 11s because you couldnt get off the line quick enough to make up for the Lack of HP total.

Some how make an AWD conversion or something and get off the line at 1.7 and you will have MUCH better luck even thinking about 11s.

Im not sure what the guys over at RSM can do for you, but it IS worth asking them.

I think ive already said too much and ive confused myself because ive wrote too much.

But i would rather see you spend your money on something WORTH it, rather than blowing it and not having it bro.

You could make your car a RACE ONLY car. You could go with a FULLY stripped interior and just a body and engine and run 11s probly. but to have a STREETABLE 11 second 99+ Grand Am GT... would probly requite 20-40K in mods alone.

From what ive read and heard, so far i have yet to find a 3.4L GA putting out VERY impressive dyno numbers. I dont even think people are making mods that HOLD high numbers yet.

When GM built the grand am they didnt build it to make 11second passes with. I dont even know if the blocks in the GA would withstand that much power. Other cars like the straight 6 in the supra and 4G63 motor in the DSMs, and skyline engines are CAPABLE of standing 400HP VERY easily. Supra motors of course 1000 wheel horse power.

Another issue is fuel. You would have to get a better pump, Find some way to fabricate 4 more fuel injectors to the intake manifold to be able to shoot fuel for that much power. And forget the ECU of the car... Your going to have to spend 1K ALONE on a stand alone system like the AEM to be able to control the fuel and air mixtures. Be careful as well because at these levels your dealing with knock as well. Producing 400hp and getting 20 counts of knock is NOT going to make your day go happy if you know what i mean.

What else hmmmm... of course an exhaust change.

Before i blab on anymore..... Weve determinded here that your going to need 400+ wheel horse power and your not going to do that without fuel control, traction, transmission work, exhaust work, forged internals, some really custom fabbed big ass SC or 20G, T3/T4, L2R turbo and dont forget 110-117 octane race gas.

being SAFE is another issue. Sure you could go and run a 200 shot of Nitrous and an RSM SC with the boost cranked a little bit... if Your LUCKY, you will make it down the track 1 time with a 12sec run, broken trans, and blown to hell engine. But if you want to do it SAFE.... lots and lots of custom work, rebuilding and money.

Remember... im not bad mouthing you at all, but thats someting to consider.

Being SERIOUS now, you could go buy a little awd dsm for under 2k, put the rest of the 8k into that.... SHEEEOOOT look out. You WILL be running 11s for SURE.. I can promise that.

Good luck

Why Does Everyone Think they have to run eight injectors on a 4 cylinder - Find a larger injector that works and save the Hassle I think some one Said the injectors off the new 4.2 v6 fit the GA's but a stand a lone Fuel management system would be a must

Sir. If he cant find injectors that WILL FIT THE CAR in the first place... how else is he going to provide fuel?

Hes better off with another set of injectors to garentee fuel. And a stand alone to control them with another map sensor.

Not every 4 cycl needs another set of injectors but some do.

You're not doing the work yourself are you Tom? B/c like someone else said, there goes all your money!
If you want to run 11's for under 10G, sell your car and buy an older sports car...but that's just my opinion
Good luck man.

ok well here is my story, i got a 95 integra 2 door and my 01 gagt, i have aquired some money that i can blow, 10 grand, in order to make a 95 integra at least a 10.9 second car will cost me 30 grand, i cant do that, right now i am gettinga SH@T load of stuff done to my Gagt from my friends for free, Carbon fiber hood with 2 huge scoops, like the sct hood, (carbon fiber is not 100% but 90%) and i am getting the SCT lip done from the same shop for free in carbon fiber, also, i am getting that roof top scoop, which i think is very unique from a buddy of mine, all i gotta do is install it, brullen is making my headers for 200 bucks for me since im a tester car and the inside of my car is getting done, and nitrous NOS kit i got for free with eibachs and baer brakes from my girlfriends dad, so right now things are looking up for me, everyone has been telling me that i should get a better car or sell the integra, but the integra was a gift to me from my grampa, my grandfather got the car for 5000 cdn, with around 100 km on a ls engine nice body, no rust but interior is gone, i dont really know what to do, i love my GaGt, i wanna have the only one that looks crazy around, i LLLLLOOOOOOVVVVEEE my gagt, its going tobe with me till i die, im dead serious about that, its going to be like my "67 Mustang", you know what i mean, i wanna get my internals done at RSM first, i am going to talk to them very soon, but about the SC, i wont have enough for that, plus i dont work, so thats another problem, full internals is about 8 grand alone, so i dont know what to do, plus i like the integra that my grampa gave me, he got it from his next door nieghbour, so i cant sell it and i want that to look good also, i am a pure domestic guy but i got the car, i will make it look good but, i mean i dont know what to do,

please tell me what you guys think i do take your recommendations to heart,

thanks guys for all the responce, black99gt, i understand, its next to impossible to get 11 seconds with my stock block, but i wanna try, i will ask around, talk to everyone possible, see what i can do, and i will try to do most of the work myself because i can get hooked up very nicely, i know for fact, i know to many people through my own networking and family, so i wanna have the only gagt with 11 seconds, well at least 12 or try VERY hard to get it there, anyhow thanks for the responce's so far
ill have pics as soon as i get the headers or the hood, i dont know which one will be ffinished first,
