Few things to remember. Pat just finished the setup a few days before, so this setup still has a lot left in it. I believe he's using a bigger turbo than Todd too? and he was only running 7psi on his best run. He turned it up to 8psi later, but was having an issue with a vacuum leak (we found a loose bolt on the upper intake mani later on), and both the runs he was seeing 1-2 degrees of KR as well. Add to that he's using a rather small intercooler that he got last minute to complete the car. I'm sure the car has a lot more in it once those things are remedied.

That sucks to hear about the bearing Todd, but it would explain some of the problems you were having. Hard to say though if it was caused by the leaking head gaskets or the oil pump, but I'm also leaning towards the head gaskets. I just think an engine that fresh that wasn't broken in yet really wouldn't like coolant in the oil.

Why would I need to search and try to piece together schweppe's ride, when it'd be easier to have him post a list. Or a link to cardomain. So, as I was saying:

Schweppe, what mods did you to do to your car to make it so fast?

So perhaps it was not suckin the pan dry. Enough guessing for now till I pull it apart. Will post pics of the carnage, but will be a day or two. Two other things thinking back:

-No oil pressure dummy light on the DIC
-No low oil light on the DIC

For everyone's benefit.

The engine oil pressure switch closes (signal circuit is low) with low oil pressure and opens (signal circuit is high) with oil pressure above 4.5 psi. The PCM monitors the oil pressure switch signal circuit and sends a class 2 message to the body control module (BCM) indicating the switch status

Conditions for Setting the DTC
The PCM detects that the oil pressure switch signal circuit is high.
The above conditions are present for greater than 10 seconds.

"The PCM only monitors the oil level switch signal circuit for a brief period between key on and engine crank. "

it takes a nicely built and option 3.4L or 2.4L motor with a properly sized turbo decent tuning and good tire.

That and the time and money to buy the parts, install em, and tune it.

Can't trust the dummy light in this case. But your right a low oil light should of come up, if you were watching for it.

... There aren't to many ways to connect the sensor. And there are no electrical issues. Seems light will not come on till ~5 PSI, and the float only samples at startup.

Again, no big deal, live and learn. Will have pulling the engine and reassembly down to a science when finished. Tis all...

Built motor, turbo, intercooler, bigger injectors, tuning, built transmission w/LSD, drag slicks. That's the basic recipe so far.

talk is cheap..
Dont forget it took you a while even with your turbo on to get 12.anything times..
he did it his first time with that setup, low boost, with not much time on the tune.

I do believe it took a little more than 8psi to get your lighter engine manual transmission car to run 12's...
