I didn't exactly have hptuners or dhp to help me out. Be aware of that....

Also be aware that my 12.9 was done hitting the governor before 1000ft mark.

Of course I'll be using more boost, i don't have the 'superior' 3.4l motor....

My talk is gold.

many things can be done with out a tune
Including getting past the speed limiter.
and where is the slip with your mph at the 1000'?
I'm still willing to bet you tip the scales at least 150-200lbs lighter than his car
not to mention how much having a manual trans helps...

Take it to PMs. This is your only warning.

I love you. You're right i couldv disconnected my vss, but i didn't. I didn't want to.

How many slips show mph at 1000ft? How many tracks do you go to that show mph?
Of course my manual is a great thing. It's not like i swapped it. I'm working with what i got. Still a 2.4l block and head, still oem tranny besides the clutch. Big whoop. You have a whole liter on me.

Ill give you that i am lighter. If you want to cry about my weight savings than start working w a liter less of displacement. God forbid someone do something different and make it work...

Don't worry ill thank you for helping me prove my point that you don't need an amazing 3.4 to go fast.

Besides I'm working w the inferior 2.4l not the beloved 2.3 quad or 2.2 eco that all the 4cyl guys are swinging on.

I think you're onto something there Aaron; I just finished putting a Jasper engine in a 60K '99 GA at work that did something very similar. It came in with milkshake oil and a rod knock. After closer inspection, LIM & head gasket failure led to spun rod bearing.

Hey Schwepe23 do you have pictures of your setup. Where did you get turbo from? What MOD do you have on your car?

So it seems that the 3.4>2.4.
Not bad for just getting the car together and running on Thursday. A couple small issues to work out but for the most part everything went well. Also seems like i have to relearn the way i launch this car as it is an entirely different animal than the Eaton S/C was.

As always I had a great time, special thanks to Tejohnson for his mad programming skills and Aarongtr.

Thanks guys so far i'm really happy with the transition from sc to tc. Sorry I don't have any pics oF the setup currently, but maybe Todd or Mendoza do?

Jaketuff...Todd probably has one of the more comprehensive builds on the site, i know i learn more every chance i get to pick his brain.

Sucks to see that, Todd hopefully you'll have it all remedied in time for a fall dyno or track day.

I knew there was somethin to that ticking. Just didn't become more pronounced till the drive home. No worries, i'll get to it in fairly short order.

Sold on the turbo, eh? Glad you've joined the darkside. We can use more people like you with a hairdryer.

man it seems like you have that motor out of the car and rebuilt every other day.

Props on a very nice setup though.
