A lot of people don't know it, but GM engineers DO READ forums like Camaro5.com and the like. Vette engineers have been enmeshed in the Corvette community for years to learn what Vette owners like and what they don't. Why do you think Lutz made it a point to say, "no more camo" on the car? He wants to release a car that the people who LOVE it will like! Its free feedback!

yeah...it worked so well for the G6 and Malibu ......

LOL at people trying their hardest to explain that what we se in those pics is not final. I guar-an-focking-tee, besides a couple minor tweaks, for the most part that's what you're getting!!

Agreed. I saw the new Malibu at the auto show a few weeks back. Nice car. The back end took a while to grow on me, but I like it. Definitely a huge step up from the previous version.

I'm on the fence about the new Camaro. Parts of it are pretty ass... but as others have pointed out, this isn't the final production version. Although, who knows how much it will really change.

More spy pics, these are from recently in Florida.

Hot, white, squared off puke for your viewing enjoyment.

The rear view is suppose to be the best on a muscle car, on this, it looks simply atrocious and out of shape.

I think Bob is referring to the last model Malibu, in which I agree it sucks. Honestly I think all the malibus suck... except for the newest model. The new Malibu looks real good, but yeah the '04-'07 model was hideous, and the '97-03 model was just boring looking. They should of called it the "Cheverolet Car" because thats about all it was. The old G-body based ones sucked too... kinda like a stubby monte carlo. The 2008 Malbiu I can honestly say is the first ever Malibu to look good!

As for the G6, its tamed down quite a bit from the concept but it still looks good. It doesn't suprise me they tamed it down, I mean considering its a midsize family car you gotta make it affordable to families. Obviously with the Camaro you can get away with pricing it higher so you don't have to tame it down as much.

I don't see the problem here. Looks good to me.

I mean, no, it doesn't look exactly like the concept car.... but honestly, who actually thought that? NO car company makes the production car just like the concept we all drool over. If the cars in these pics were of a brand new Camaro "concept" and we had never seen the one we've all seen in Transformers and such........ everyone would be loving it. I never expected the real car to look identical to the concept, so I'm not disappointed at all. Besides, it is pretty damn close. I think it looks pretty bad ass..... especially the black one.

Just needs a nice little rear lip spoiler like what you can get on a mustang, just something simple.

I will reserve judgment for when I see it in person, but for now, it make me sad cause it look like crap in the pics.

I know it will look better in person. It has to. Please god.

ive seen them in shows. im not impressed. i KINDA like the back end, but i hate the front end. Interior... hate it.. Only thing i like about the new Camaro is the power plant and the rest of the drive train. Any news on if its going the be the LS2 or the LS3 in there? Last i heard its going to be the ls2. BUT GM is phasing the LS2 out of the vettes and putting in the LS3. They could be doing this to make it a camaro only engine, which i assume is most likely. But it wasnt a problem before... why is it a problem now?

GM will not comment on what V8 engine will be available for it... we will have to keep waiting.
