My GA modding thread

I now have 1 mod.... so far..

Bought my car a couple weeks ago:

My plans all together for it: (subject to change... and they will)

Exterior:
-Tinted windows (5% full rear, 20% front windows)
-Black projector headlamps
-Tinted GT Tail lamps / Tinted LED tail lamps
-Dual Post mirrors
-Front and rear eyebrow (maybe with some lettering)
-"Grand AM" tinted brake light overlay
-LED license plate light
-Silver or chrome grill
-Pontiac overlays for license plate cover and Pontiac above rear license plate
-Wheel Spoke inserts (thinking black)
-Side Racing Stripes
-Window sunvisors
-maybe new rims... haven't decided yet
-Some sort of body kit.. probably just a GT coversion
-SD Hood

Interior:
-LED interior lights
-Polished Black painted interior accents
-"SE" dash decal
-Steering wheel post overlays
-Steering wheel Pontiac emblem overlay

Performance:
-Cold Air Intake
-Supercharger / Turbo (only if I have extra money to spend)
-New exhaust

Thanks to Bryan I'm getting tinted tails on Tuesday

and I'm getting windows tinted professionally for about $125 sometime this week before Friday. (Going through friend who can get me a good deal)

Anyone have any suggestions on making my car faster? Unfortunatly, mainly for insurance purposes and me being 25, it was too expensive for me to get the GT, therefore I only have the 4cyl. I want it to be at least as fast as the GT, so a boost in HP would be nice. I've heard performance chips can be good but then again most are scams... Any suggestions?

Also... to my knowledge... NY, the state I live in, requires a front license plate... but I'd like to have the plate cover on. Anyone know if a front plate is required or the ticket of not having a front one?

K, will do, thanks

I saw this GA with a metallic silver grill today... looked pretty sweet and ever since then I've wanted to get my grill done.

How do you think it would look if I just popped my grill out, put some paint on it, and popped it back in, and wait on buying the new metal grill?

That sounds like a pretty good deal on the tint. Go 20% or 5% all around though, I promise it'll look cleaner.

You've got to want new rims, especially if you're considering a body kit.

And yup, tails will be there Tuesday.

Pretty sure he's 16, when he sent me the PayPal payment for the tails the note read, "Being under 18 I have to do it on my mom's name" or something.

I thought cardude was making fun of him for being 16 and wanting those mods. woooops

Where I live they are required too and I still don't have one on. Never been pulled over for it but I did get a warning for not having a front plate when I was pulled over for having a headlight out.

So it really depends on how the cops are their.

Liar... they will be here today. Got them on already and they look sweet. Very happy w/ em Got a couple pics of them at night, will have pics tomorrow of them in the day.

Yes, I am 16, meant to say being under 25. My bad.

I think I'm just gonna take off my front LP cause I hate it on, I want the cover on it instead. I want all around 5%, but I know someone who did that and they got pulled over for it.

I'm not really ballin out of control to mod everything but I can't stand having it be all stock anymore. Having new tails has helped a lot, . Most of the expensive mods up there I won't get to for a couple more years. Right now I have my car payment and insurance payment to worry about. I'm not rushing into anything so I'm hoping to get a good deal on stuff, like the great deal I got on my tails Hoping to get windows tinted by Friday this week.
