how much could i get for my GA

Took it to the garage, passed inspection... the guy said motor is perfectly in healthy condition.. There is absolutely not rust on it, immaculate interior... scratch on lower front bumper and crack from curb. dont even notice it until eyeing it up real close. has SUNROOF, POWER SEATS, WINDOWS, Putting back stock headunit for better sale, 90K miles... 99' grand am gt coupe... tinted windows all around... blacked out decals, good for a mennonite... how much should i ask private?

prolly not to much a 99 is kinda hard to finance at a reqular dealership for the spifis.
go on kbb and input you info look at fair quality thats more then likely the most u would get in realmoney!!!
they can show you more for the car but what there doing is taking the markup in there car and puting it on yours.
what ever you do if you go to multipul dealerships do not tell the sales men what someone else gave for your car at the begenning. i loved it when people did that the price of my car always went up 2 or 3 grand right away just so i could show you more for yours and trick you into earning your business...
any help you need let me know i sold for almost 3yrs and i hate the business and not in it anymore.

i told the dealer that i was going to put 7 grand down on it. the price is 16500 for a cobalt ss 2006 .. silver... he said that price is very aggressive and he dont think he'll have the car long because they go fast.

hahaha bull**** its a trick bro did he call and say another salesman has a deal working on it or ha someone looking at it.
and that price more then likley they can work on. the whole thing we price these cars so low just to move them or were not trying to send kids threw college. if its an old age unit meaning sitting there for 45 plus days it maybe somewhat true just because most dealerships have a rule tha a car can only sit so long before they have to go to auction...
best time to buy a car is the end of the month dealerships get money for how many cars they sell (only if they sell new cars) its dealer dough when hit certin numbers they get a bgger kick back on the new cars they sold!
whats yor credit like if i can ask how many trade lines you have (open accounts credit cards loans and other)
because they can also hold points say u can get 6.9 apr but guess what there getting u 7.9 they get that extramoney.

I just did a quick run on kbb.com for you to see about what it books for and here's what I got.

Excellent: $4715.00
Good: $4280.00
Fair: $3705.00

I'd say, from what I have read. Anything between $3500-4000 wouldn't be a bad asking price.

do you think i could sell my car for like 5,000 to a mennonite.. because i know they go crazy for all black cars... and even my taillights are smoke black.. ... because thats who i originally bought it off of... and they listed the car for 7,400 and sold it to my dad for 5,500... the car was taken care of... I change the oil every 2,500 .. i just paid 125 $ for the transmission heres what was done... Replaces 100 % of fluid
Including torque converter and
transmission lines
Removes sludge and metal filings .....

got paper work? with only 1 trade line and 7k down and say 3 for your car youll be financeing like 7 k depending on credit its between 20 and 30 dollers a thousand financed so prolly most payment would be 210-220 range and u have enough down to no have negitive equity later on!
and u need at least 5000 financed to finance at least here anyways.
also when u go in the box the fni manager will try to sell u a bunch of ****!.
gap is usually good but putting 9k down i dont think ull need it.
theft guard is a joke to is tpp as we call it total protection program. they may call something different but it covers paint and crap its a joke. an extended warrenty is always a good idea and would prolly run around 1500. dont think hell mention term life but if he does dont take. they may ask about tire xam its ok its not just the little green things tha say how much air u have but covers up to a 20'. rims and tires.

Not that giving the car to your parents wouldn't be a nice gesture, but why not sell it and get the money?

with 7k down u should be fine ull have a high apr prolly 15 range but ull bring ur credit up.
even with a ****load of cllections you would be approved..
but also kbb that cobalt and offer them average book fromtrade in and stick to it.
unless you can get ahold of black book or get an account for annaheim auto auction thats what we went but when we took a car in.the a 500 to 1500 pack dealer pockets that.

also another tip is (this has actually happened to me) the salesperson prolly gets 25percent of the profit for commision and prolly a 150 mini no matter what its sold for. offer to give him like 300-500 cash if hell tell u what they have in it and u wont sayanything and keep beating him up till his boss gives u that price just be hush hush.
hed make like 650 which to make that norm he would have to have a 2500 front gross to get.. its an option.
