Racing Stripes

So how are your guys views on racing stripes??? I was thinking of getting black ones for the fenders to go with the red/black color scheme of the car.

I already have black rims and exterior decals.

If you use baby wipes after taking a sh!t, you'll be much less likely to get racing stripes.

I think they take away from the smoothness of the car.

1) those aren't racing stripes, they are Corvette GS stripes. not sure who ever thought they belong on a grand am, but they were mistaken.

2) even if they were racing stripes. last i checked, grand ams werent race cars (and ill refrain from going further on this one).

just be content that grand ams have some of the best lines of any car on the road IMO. if you must make it look more aggressive then get a kit like the SC/T one and make that two toned.

^ Don't be such an ass.
If you like how they make your car look, go for it.
Most people don't associate Grand Ams and racing stripes in a good way.
But you are the one who has to drive your car every day, so do what you feel.
If they go with the overall look that's already with your car, I don't see why not.

I also don't consider two stripes on the fender to be racing stripes. Not sure what I would call them, but when I think racing stripes, I think two fat stripes going over the middle of the car front to back.

Racing stripes I don't mind. Fender stripes I DO mind. I think they look odd.
