Cold Air Intake

Hey Guys,

Looking to buy a cold air intake, but don't want to spend 300 bucks on it.

Found http://cgi.ebay.ca/99-05-GRAND-AM-SE...QQcmdZViewItem on ebay, and wanted to see if you guys thought it was worth it. Looks to be a decent one. I have been looking around, but pfyc.com charges way to much on shipping to Canada.

Thanks guys!

well that is a pretty good one... or if you have some mechanical knowlage you could make your own for around 50-80 bucks with parts from autozone and a few parts from a hardware store. but thats if you get bored and want to spend some time on it. my filter is right next to the bottom of my windsheild washer fluid resevior. just make sure your filter is in your fender well so you dont pull in a bunch of hot air from your engine bay. youl get some nice cool air from down in your fender. which means more power but i had to do some cutting from were my tubing went down to make it fit.

that is strange... I was not aware that autozone sold intakes for the grand am...

as for bends... depending on if you are willing to cut your car you will either need one 45* bend or one 45* and one 90*

i beleave i used a 45 and two 90's beacause of were i put my filter and i had and issue with clearance with my wheel well. and it still has a small bump in it but i like this alot better i think i have more throttle response and a little more power then the aftermarket one i had. whenever i have some spare time (which could be awhile) ill try to take some pictures of all of it and put ut in my garage. i only have one engine pic and you can only see a lil of it.

Thanks guys.

For me, I live in NB, Canada. I was looking at 140$USD shipping plus the cost of the stage 3, which was more than $300.

Around here the prices tended to be around 200-250 each, and it pains me to buy one here for that, then look at the identical thing online for half the price.

I bought the one I posted earlier, and I will let yas know about the quality, as well as some pictures- and some before and after.

Thanks~!

Well he might be talking about if he orders one from them. Because I work at an Autozone and we don't carry one for our cars.
