Question Interesting "popping" sound from steering rack!

Hmmz,
My car has started to make this "popping" sound when the wheel is turned at low speed. Its almost like the wheels are on rocks, You know the sound they make? Power steering feels perfect. I also noticed a like wet rubber on rubber sound whenever the wheel is turned when i first got the car.

Any ideas?

that popping sound could possibly be your rack going bad

I would bet on broken strut mounts.

umm, No power steering work done. I only got the car in October so... The rubber on rubber sounds like a squeak when the wheel is turned ONLY when it is wet outside. Its really faint but you can still hear it. I noticed the popping only happens when it really cold out.

What about CV Joints, when you turn the wheel they click when going or gone bad. I guess check the rubber boots to see if they are tore.

I have the same "rubber on rubber sound". I ignore it because it only does it when it rains.
