hello all!

HI every1!

I've actually been a member for a while but haven't come here that much and never introduced myself until now. I've own a 2000 GAGT Sedan since july 06. got it with 100,000 miles on it and only added 19,500 in that time. currently my mod list includes:

pacesetter 2-1/2" catback exhaust
oversized CAT
180 degree thermostat
ported upper intake manifold
ported lower intake manifold
Throttle body coolant bypassed
stage 3 cold air intake with k+n filter
fiberglass cowl induction hood
black halo headlights
black/chrome LED tail lights
Black 35% window tint
aftermarket OEM style bumper cover
Platinum spark plugs
Dual 200w HD stereo

Future mods:

Pacesetter headers (they'll be on the market by the end of summer)
exhaust mounted T3/T4 turbo charger with intercooler
Custom iridescent paint

Is it a rocket? no but I need to use it daily so I won't be doing much that will affect MPG besides the turbo. but it is starting to look and sound gooooood and now it can keep up with some of the more aggressive drivers here in NYC. The long term goal is to build the HP up to the 300-350 range since the tranny won't handle more than that. currently I think I'm in the 205-210 HP range so the turbo at 8 lbs of boost should bring me to right where I want to be.

any thoughts and opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I got preoccupied with life's little BS and forgot about my membership here until I started finding the time and money to do the things I wanted to with my GA. Then I remembered my user name and jumped online to get some info but I didn't want to talk about what i'm doing until I had made some headway since it seems like most people here take their modding seriously.

Just an FYI, with intake and exhaust you're no where near 220-240... more like 185 at the wheels, possibly. You sure you wanna invest all that time and money into a GA with 120k miles?

EDIT: missed you had a ported intake.. maybe 195 at the wheels.

Where did you find out about pacesetter headers coming out for our car and your talking about the 3400v6 right?

The flame sticker is gone. I have a pontiac symbol shaped overlay sticker with a skull on it I'm going to put there next just to see how it looks. the aftermarket bumper cover just looks a little empty there so I want to try to put something on it.

The tails are a personal taste thing and that's cool but I see guys with alteezas all over the place these days and the other options out there besides this I absolutely did not like. These I did like even though they do look like I'm trying to "bling out my ride"and with that extra bit of chrome behind the lights, when you hit the brakes at night people can see them from 6 blocks away.

yes I am talking about the 3400 v6. they already make them for the 4 bangers.
I actually spoke to someone at pacesetter about them because at the time the only place I found S+S Headers was their site and they want $900 for the ceramic coated.
I had heard that pacesetter did make them but there were problems. (just a rumor) So I tried to see if they knew anyone that still had them in stock. they set me straight. I can't wait because I know they will be more competitively priced than the S+S headers.

I have been corrected on that HP estimate. My mechanic and several other people in the know now tell me that I am pushing 210HP at best maybe 205HP.

I think that's an ad... sorry about that. look at my post before this one for a HP update. I guess I was a little eager to beat the a$$hol3s in my area with ricers to the next red light.

Sorry, looks like I was misinformed about the HP I'm running with. according to my mechanic it should be closer to 205 HP - MAYBE 210 but 210 sounds like wishful thinking.

oh and I forgot to mention the throttle body coolant bypass in my starter post.

I just edited my original post to reflect the more accurate estimate of what I believe to be what my GAGT is running with right now as well as the throttle body coolant bypass.
