Opinion on tails

Hey whats up guys, want a quick input on what to do for my tails. My options are either VHT the tails and 3rd brake light and leave the reverse lights still visable on the tails themselves or these black taillights. Not really into the LED tails, kinda leaning toward either tint or these. any Input would be great. Thank you. btw heres my car

Tint is definitely the way to go. Most aftermarket tails don't flow well with the lines on the Grand Ams. Unless you are putting on a body kit, I'd stick with stock tails and tint them.

Tint. Then get brighter SS bulbs to compensate for the darkness of the tint.

How about this, get some GT tails, then tint.

i know this has been discussed somewhere but what exactly determines the gloss to the tails? adding the clear coat?

is it necessary to sand before applying tint...this is what i was thinking correct me if this will not turn out good.... Clean tails, Spray whatever coats of tint, Clear coat however many times, wet sand then buff polish... i just want these things to be exactly the same gloss they have originally im not feeling that dull black during the day time.. want that gloss so correct me if my steps dont seem correct, again i appreciate all the input guys

I would hit them with a lite sand before any paint, and wetsand in between coats

+1 on tint GT tails

TYC's wouldn't follow your lines properly, either.

PS- those are HUGE exhaust tips.

Personally for black tail lights I think these look the best. ebay black tyc tails

I don't like tinting stock tail lights. It's not safe. I always end up following someone who's tinted stock tail lights and you can barely tell when they step on the brakes, even at night. And you can't see the reflectors when the car is parked. I've been in enough accidents and I'd prefer people to see my brake lights as clearly as possible and to be able to see theirs.

I can agree with this. My stock tails are dark enough for me.
