New Muffler

Just installed my new flowmaster 80 series on my car. It sounds awsome. I went ahead and removed the resonator. The engine noise was drowing out the muffler. Has anyone put a highflow cat with the flowmaster? Did it change the sound at all? How much did it cost for you?

You want rasp? Try headers, hi-flo, no res, and no muffler. You don't hear it in the car, but drive by a parked car or something to reflect the sound back and its painfully obvious. Its so loud I have to crank up the volume of more than I care to for cruising along. Good thing I can make it all quiet any time I want

Use a glasspack. Gives a deeper tone, and rids rasp.

Either our setups sound different, or we have completely different tastes.

Mine isn't loud/obnoxious/raspy unless its cold or I get on it. Under 4.5k or so, its pretty deep for a V6

I thought that's what this talk was about was how it can get raspy. Why mod a car and keep it under 4k RPM's all the time . I like mine to sound decent at all RPM's

I'm getting old, I rarely need/want to drive my car that "fast"

Do you have headers? Negative. Also, you have a resonator.
