That is the commanded AFR. Not necessarily actual.

do you have a gauge for your wideband in your car. until you can log that you could use the gauge to see what afr your getting.

once you can log that then you will be good to go.

well i cant figure out how to load the log so basically ill say that the stft's are good until approximately 3200 rpms, then they go to positive high 3's and low 4's. injector pw also spiked at 14 at that rpm. i did get a max of 2.4 dergrees of kr. but at the same time saw no misfires at 3200. i saw ltft's of 8 and 9 is that right. what re the ltft's supposed to be at? let me know if you guys have any questions about the scan and ill see if it got recorded.

you change the fuel trims by tuning the car. you start with doing a VE tune once that's good move on to a MAF tune, this will help alot.

a couple maf tune's should fix your fuel trims. but to do the WOT are your going to need to use the wideband to log the AFR.

you want your LTFT at 0 when you go WOT.

also make sure your fuel pressure matches the injectors. which if your still using the stock ones should be 55.

so when I do do the wot tune hook up my wb and it'll read the afr from that and that's what I'll use to change the ve an maf tables? So which one do I do first and how do I know what to change? I mean change the values up or down. And what do you think of the injector pw spiking at 14 @ 3200 rpm. What's. The max for the pw? I prolly need bigger injectors

I have a feeling this is gonna be a very long process. What wires do I use to hook up the wb to the interface?

You have a lot of reading to do.

Start here:

http://wiki.opentuner3800.com/index.php?title=Main_Page

Go over to www.powrtuner.com and search for info on your wideband.

14 mS pulsewidths are well below the limit.

no offense but me or anyone sitting here telling you what to do isnt going be quick.

go over to the powrtuner forum they should have some posts on how to hook the wideband up to your dhp box. you have the little green plug on the side right.

Yep, it takes a while to get things down. I still haven't gotten to WOT tuning on my car.
Mark and I went through no less than 7 different bin files, fine tuning the MAF tables.
I have 0KR, LTFTs are 0 at cruise to slightly negative at heavy throttle (60-70% TPS).

me too. i was waiting till i got a wideband to WOT tune it. which since its winter i still have a few months to pick one up.

as mine sits right now i have no KR and my LTFT's are within -/+5% of 0. my idle and cruise tune isnt bad the fuel trims are within the -/+5% range(depends on outside temp) so its not too bad.

WOT i havent touched since i didnt have a wideband , but from what i logged it wasnt bad but obviously needs work.

just one more question before i get to reading. since the wiki is for a 3800, will the same principles apply to the 3400?

A very vast majority of them, yes.

Having not memorized the entire thing, I can't tell you of any specifics that won't apply to your car.
