Want to do some moddin...

I have a Black '01 GAGT - stock

And i just want to do some appearance mods. But some i have no idea how to.

Mods that i am thinking about but not for sure:

1) Window tint, i really want this done the most. But i don't know a body shop that will tint.
2) Tinting the tail lights. Could i just do that with WalMart tint? Lol.
3) Debadging, possibly.
4) Red mesh behind the grill..i have no idea where i could get mesh. If you could send me in the right direction, that'd be great.
5)Painting the calibers. I think that might be too hard of a job for me.

If you guys could help me out with anything, that'd be awesome. Thanks.

For the tint, check around local window/glass shops. Some do tint, at good prices. Don't go with Walmart tint. Ive heard and seen bad things from the material, do as my buddy did and order a roll from a big company (3M ect) and watch youtube how-to videos.

Mesh would look stupid without other color accents on the car... but you can find pretty much everything you listed online if you just research.

Debadging is worth it for the look... and calipers would look stupid without aftermarket rims/brake upgrade.

That's my 2 cents.

Where are you in WI? I can get you in touch with a tint guy that is from the Twin Cities.

Tint + debadge should be on almost every vehicle.

Black GT's look sick blacked out. Red accents with black is more common. My GA:

I have 20% tint all around, tinted tails, calipers painted and debadged. See sig for mod list.

Tintz would make it look a bit better. Make sure when you get them tinted, put some black vinyl over the black dots (frit) in the back window or it'll look sh1tty.

Chrome grills from CustomCarGrills.com will look good too. Get the whole kit.

Debadge!!

Painting the calipers isn't too hard. I did it myself. Some folks take the caliper completely off. I left them on. I used the brake paint in a can and some foam brushes and did a pretty good job. Too maybe half a day.

Tinting the tails can be done by using film (not recommended) or by spray tint. It can be professionally sone too. I paid $50 to get mine done

Southwest. Like 50 miles south of Madison.

@ChaosWeaver - That looks awesome, your car looks great. I'll have to check Wisconsin's regulations for window tint. I think its 30-35% is legal.

I'll check around some window shops to see if they tint car windows. But for tail light tint. I don't know what to do there.

If you're taking your car in to have the windows tinted already have them do the tails too. Seems like the most logical choice to me.

Well just in case they can't tint tail lights( no idea why they couldn't) it would be nice to know where you can buy some spray on tint for the tail lights.

VHT Nightshades. Most parts stores have it. But do what I did, have them cleared with PPG Automotive grade paint, and buffed to a polish.

Stick with removable tint. In the case that you have to remove it at any point it's more easily reversible.

the calipers are pretty easy, duplicolor makes a kit that you can buy that comes with all you need, just jack the car up take off the wheel, clean it with brake cleaner, let it dry, coat of paint, go to another caliper, then you should be able to put the 2nd coat on the 1st caliper you painted...

i tinted my tails with the VHT Nightshade from O'Reilly's, i think i used 3 coats to get it dark enough for me. and then put clear on.

This is the proper way to black out a car.

Whatever you do,dont paint your stock rims black. Save up some loot and buy a nice set. No offense to anyone who has done that,I just think it looks corny as hell.
