Also, I just got back from boulder and averaged 26.4 mpg and that was running about 5-7mph over the speed limit. Theres a lot of hills and I had two runs with a G35.

He was creeping up on me while i was cruising and finally when he went to pass me i matched his speed... both runs started right around 60mph, the first ended at 95 at a dead tie and the second ended at 110 with him a quarter of a car length ahead of me (it was a long winding left curve on I36).

I'm a little disappointed most people don't have much to say (or if anything mostly negitive) about the car... Granted Pontiac could have done so much more with the car it really has proven itself as a worthy contender in IMO.

Been looking for some black wheels... I can't find a staggered set without compromising on something. Ive searched online for hours, went to local dealers and installers. The only site I found that catered to the staggered set wanted about $1200 for the rims alone... a bit out of my price rang.

Had a few suburban encounters.... came out on top of all of them except some guy in a heavily modified body and motor... wait for it.... Toyota Tacoma on the highway. But others like the S4, GTP and Jeep SRT8(2 lights) I walked on.

As of now... my opinion on the car is its a great bang for the buck.. but not for a real legitimate thrill seeker. Perfect for my needs, and we all could do faster but I'm satisfied.

There's no focking way you are taking a Jeep SRT8 that's trying. You'll get smoked. IMHO, the Jeep can hang with damn near any car on the street from 0-60. Z06, Viper, modded Evo's and STi's, and any other seriously modded vehicles are the only thing with a chance.

Your FWD Grand Prix V8 with a God damn K&N intake and no cats doesn't stand a chance. My GTO would beat it.

A friend of mine in a Jeep got his ass handed to him by a z06 a modded evo and a modded sti including my exhaust only GTO. I also dont mean he kept up with any of them or with me it was a ASS RAPING for him.

As far as the GXP beating a SRT-8 Jeep i do call BS

still for srt JEEP it is still comparable to most other sport cars that are most well known.. and if u can't beat a G35 then u really not gonna beat a srt jeep, trust me i know how srts run. speakin only cause i own one..

sorry but a neon SRT-4 is NOT, i repeat NOT a jeep SRT-8.

25mpg seems way more accurate for that type of car. if you stay off the pedal you can get closer to 28.

I cant speak for anyone else, but im more of a fan of the G8 due to its RWD, 6.0L (or 6.2 in GXP) and it still has 4 doors.

BTW in the video of the black turbo i thought it was a sunfire. I just dont find those cars attractive at all.

He started creeping slowly on me the second round because we were on a long winding turn, he was on the inside lane therefore he started inching in front of me before we were close to the straight.

Would you feel better If I were to say something like "Oh JK I was lying" or "Well, maybe he wasn't racing me and I was confused". I bet thats what your waiting for.

I'm not denying the numbers! I think there is a misconception that I am bragging about this, I am not. It happened just as recently as I decided to post this so I thought id share it.

I did a brake stand both times holding at 2200rpm. I didn't have TC on and feathered off the line. I'm just telling it how it was, I pulled on him shifting into second. Thats how it happened. Call "BS" on me. It is pointless to discuss without video... therefore I should have known sharing a story like this especially of the nature it is that I was wasting my time.

Just because your car has an "SRT" badge on it doesn't reflect you "know" how the Jeep SRT-8 pulls. So don't go hang with the local big boys now and pretend you think you have a place there. The Charger SRT-8, The Jeep SRT-8, The Viper SRT-10, The Challenger SRT-8 are going to walk all over your ***** **** just the same as the majority of car owners on here.

25-28mpg is average for driving with a heavy foot.

The G8 is straight sick but just not within my means of living, Its more car than I need and RWD isn't something I want to worry about in the Winter between living here and traveling back home.
