Got a couple more packages today, one from summit and another from ebay.

Summit.

Some misc fittings.

And my second package which I found on ebay for quite a steal.

Full 4t65e HD differential upgrade.

I would have some more for you guys but I just happened to wake up this morning feeling like I got hit by a truck so I'm spending my night on the couch watching tv

Hopefully when I'm feeling better I can get back out in the garage and show everyone what that differential is going into.

Yes they are color coded by size and I haven't even posted a fraction of the parts I actually do have, I can just about guarantee you I have one of the largest collections of parts on this site.

I'm guessing that your doing a 4T65E swap?

Looking good so far. I would figure out a place to mount the coil packs before you mount the regulator on the rear valve cover.

Nick- I'm serious about seeing the car when its running. Despite moving to a new platform, I STILL have a soft spot for GA's, 7 years after buying my first one.

Looking good. Are you doing a rear mounted setup or normal?

He's doing it in the engine bay like normal. Rear mounted setups really are not optimal for these cars IMO.

mmm, okay.... not really sure if you think that's funny 'cause you agree or disagree.

but I can elaborate a little. I've only seen a couple rear turbo setups for these cars and they have been done on a pretty low budget and have not performed up to expectations to this point. Not sure if a little better design and fabrication would make that much improvement, but I do know that they simply will not get as good a results as a V8 car does. Less displacement and exhaust volume along with the distance from the engine and heat loss/loss of energy to drive the turbo simply means too much lag and lower power. You have to down size the turbo to keep spool decent, but then the power cap is low because flow is limited with a small turbo. Really the most efficient place for a turbo is close to the engine.

the engine bay comment threw me off, i thought you meant more of
"it's hooked up to the engine, sitting the parts in the trunk won't help much"

which i found hilarious, and completely off base my bad

oh ... yeah, I was talking about the difference between placing the turbo on an exhaust manifold in the engine bay versus some setups where the turbo is on the exhaust pipe under the back end of the car. It's been done on a few fwd cars, but mostly on F-bodies and such. Those big V8's have enough bottom end torque and move enough exhaust gas that the turbo lag isn't as big a problem for them.
