power/ground will be extended to add the switches...... but then yes I want to also extend the white wires between the CCFL and inverters. see MY drawing I attached a few posts up
I don't want to use all 4 inverters (1 inverter per halo ring) leaving one plug open to the elements and just hanging there....I'd rather use only 2 inverters (1 inverter per 2 halo ring)

You can try extending them but you run the high risk of failure. If they wern't that expensive I would say go for it but I really wouldn't recommend lengthening the wires between the ballasts and the ccfl's

I spent $26 shipped for each kit. so not really that bad if I need to buy another set, then I'd have spare set of halo rings

Small update....... I took 4 pieces of wire all 8 inches long, and same gauge as the white wires on the inverters. stripped enough of the ends to stick them into the plugs (from inverter to halo ring) to act as my mock extensions, then wrapped some electrical tape around to hold the wires in place. hooked it up to the car battery for power, and left it for 10 mins, no wires got hot, inverter not hot, and halos still bright....then took my wire extensions out and just plugged in the plugs. again left it for 10 mins, no wires got hot, inverter not hot, and halos the same brightness.

shouldn't have put it in the sun! i learned that when I was painting some pieces, figured hey, sun will dry it faster, haha. learned my lesson never to paint in the sun again.

Now may be your chance to get another shot at a slightly darker green paint. You could prime and sand, or thin some bondo way out and lay it on there and go from there. Dont give up now, what your doing is bad ass man!!

I sanded the first time then primed, sanded a lil then sprayed black, sanded lil more than green, which is what pisses me off that it started peeling like it did.....but yes getting a new set and starting from scratch

well good news and small update.
85mm White Halos have been taken apart and test fitted. fit like a glove around the 80mm Green Halos Only small set back is were the wires attach to the rings need to be offset as seen in picture, or rings won't fit right

Well Take 2:
got the new lights today. little disappointed they painted inside the inner turn area black as well, instead of leaving it chromed after a few mins was back to this. then mounted the tinted corner reflector, kinda make me want to just leave these black.

Wow. They look good as-is. maybe some photo shop action to decide.
