Ohio Newbie

yes, im new to posting. But have had this GAGT since 03 and been watching this forum since then. im 25 yrs old. This was my 2nd car, had it during my senior year of high school in 03 after i sold my 92 Cavalier, the tank! I ddi sell it for a few years, but bought it back at a STEAL of a price b/c i wanted a Daily Driver. Pics of my truck and my gf's mustang are at the bottom.

Here is the latest pic of my car.

2000 Grand Am GT - Owned since 2003
- Dr Speed Stage 3 Intake
- Resonator removed from stock exhaust. Did this in 03 and the weld from the new piece to the stock system finally broke. so now it sounds like a hillbilly car. Getting that fixed soon.
- Rewired the car audio with 16ga wire. some nice pioneer 5 way 6x9's, and 4 way 6.5's. 6.5's are mounted to the factory 4x6 bracket which was modified to hold the 6.5's.
- Just put on some new GoodYear Assurance TripleTread. Love these tires.
- Debadged completely

This spring, she is getting a full paint correction detail. Claybar, 2 Stage buff and polish (M105 & 205), Sealant (Wolfgang), and wax (DP MaxWax). I cant wait to do it b/c I have always loved the color of this car and i cant wait to bring it back!!!! i know some wetsanding will be needed on her too.

a lil photoshop. Drop, Tinted Rims, Lights, and windows.

a pic from the wiring and speaker install...

My headlight resto.

I usually only have to use Megiuers M105 and a yellow pad, but the polish didnt touch these. Wetsand 1000 grit (and lots of hard work), 2000 grit, then M105. Still going to end up replacing them since the didnt come out perfect.

Girlfriend and mines 2001 Mustang GT.

The grand am is her winter car while this is in storage. Only 58K on this car. Only gets a few thousand miles a year.

- Offroad X-pipe piped to Flowmaster 40's Dual Chambered mufflers with stock tips
- Billet HVAC knobs
- Blue Oval removed and GT emblem moved the right side to cover locating holes from blue oval
- MUSTANG letters on rear bumper
- OEM headlights (smoked) were sooo bad i had to replace them. Sandpaper couldnt cure them. I bought some from a friend (chrome) for basically free until i buy new OEM (smoked) housings. I like the OEM smoked look better.

pics were taken after i gave it a full weekend 2 stage paint crrection/detail.

The Ford Emblem blue oval was on the right side, where the 2 locating holes are. The GT emblem was on the left side. I took the emblems off before the detail, and put the GT emblem in place of the blue oval to cover the holes.
I wanted the Blue oval gone b/c it didnt look right on the yellow car.
