My Ride
Lowering it this weekend.. Any suggestions on what struts I should run??? I tried to order KYB GR2 struts from Tirerack but they said when the car is lowered, those struts will fail in 2-3 months.. Feedback please.. Thanks |

GR2s are meant for OEM replacements and spec. TireRack is correct, most drop springs will wear them out prematurely.
Go with KYB AGXs. Those wheels are god awful, doe. Ugh.

Prematurely, yes. But not 2-3 months. It just depends on how much driving you do, I guess.

Done plenty of spirited driving with my GR2s since i put my springs on around a year ago and my springs and struts are fine.

Like I said, GR2s are designed with the stock ride height in mind. The AGXs are meant for lowering springs.
With that said, I can't wait until I get my Tokico blue shocks/struts and Eibach springs. My shop sells them in house and I can get them below cost. :P

Tokicos are better than the AGXs, the blues just aren't adjustable. Now, the Tokico Illuminas, those are awesome and are a good alternative to coilovers.

Ditch the chrome wheels and mirrors and it's perfection.

Why have I never seen that car?! That thing looks beautiful, aside from what has been said by Chaos. It would look even better with a drop.
