In 3 years you'll be looking at a much more impractical car.

Yeah... more than likely the reason.

I dunno...the sidewall just looks so small. Could just be the tire casing...brand?

As for Phantom, I thought that was the case, haha. Those Khumos are good tires.

Nathan, I highly doubt that this setup would pass tech inspection at any racetrack.
Just sayin'.

gotta go fast!

and actually matt. its set up 100% safe im sure. the shoulder belts are wrapped correctly to the harness bar, (got instructions from scroth racing), left belt is bolted to the body of the car where the bottom of the stock belt is, and the latch belt strap is bolted down right where the belt buckle is. to me, its hooked up exactly like the stock belts are, just 1 extra strap added instead of the stock3 point.

i did alot of reading around and your supposed to bolt the belt straps to the body of the car that is already there, not make new bolt spots into the body of the car. everything is torqued down tight and i shouldnt have problems. maybe it isnt right. but im highly doubting it, i see if the stock belts were hooked there, the new belts will do the same justice in there spot but 4 points, with 3" straps.

Yeah, I don't see anything wrong with it. At least not from the pics. It's good that you did your research. If the harness bar is built well with quality welds (looks to be) and the bar and belts are all hooked to the factory attachment points... I don't see why it wouldn't pass tech?

Really the only question I would have is how are the seats attached to rails (can't tell if it's correct since you can't see them in the pics), and are the harness you used certified by any racing organization? There are a lot of cheap knock off belts out there, and if they aren't certified they wouldn't be allowed on a track.

the belts are SFI approved or whatever. and its stiched on the belts. for the seats, im still using the stock seat tracks. the stock seats were bolted to it, i unbolted and re bolted my new seats in with high grade bolts.

the reasoning behind the not liking the setup that way is because of the harness bar instead of a roll cage. matt is more lets say... satisfied with a roll cage then a harness bar. which i can agree with him, but a harness bar still does its justice.

I don't know. If you're not going to be auto crossing or something along those lines a racing harness is a really useless mod IMO.

Not to mention you'll just look like a tard who looks outta place driving around town with your racing belts on. I would of done your engine mods before this.
