Don't bother trying to convince chaos otherwise . It seems like hobo had problems just like chaos to where multiple things kept going wrong, so if anyone tries to convince him otherwise he will constantly bash his GA and say it was sht since he always had problems with his personal one, even though me personally haven't had ANY problems with 35k miles besides a fuel pump.

BTW hobo don't you deliver pizzas or something? Or am I thinking of someone else. If so, that really doesn't help a car either.

My Grand Am needed repairs in just one year of me owning it, the cat clogged, the LIM crapped out and a lifter broke. I never neglected that car and it still went to hell.

My Honda has never cost me more than fuel, oil changes and a cabin filter in the first year of owning it. I'll take my car payments and knowing I have a car that won't break down on me over a crapbox constantly falling apart. Plus, if you have a good job, the car payments should be an issue to begin with, not to mention all it does is up your credit score when you pay on time or make payments in advance.

fair enough, also depends on how the previous owner treated the Grand Am as well, luckily for me, my uncle used to own the alero, it saw 130 highway miles a day before he sold it to me, and hes a car guy so he took care of it, and doesnt drive crazy. and with me driving the car now, it also sees alot more highway then city miles, which to me makes me feel why the car is so "happy" and running great at 205k miles. never had a LIM problem, fuel pump just went out after 204k miles on the stock pump. suspension was updated on my behalf to be lowered. the LIM was changed at around 180k miles (was still stock, and did not need changed) and put in the upgraded felpro gaskets for my ported UIM/LIM. aside from that the car has not had any real major issues other then sensors and pacesetters crappy header gaskets which i now have metal ones from MMS. but the car has fantastic for me, i stick up for it because IMO they are not as bad as what people think they are. they are fantastic cars, and have great potential. and thats what people dont realize most of the time. even though its not cheap to make these fast. but once they are fast people just dont expect it.

It's not like I'm bashing the GA, they're fickle and are not always reliable. We're a small percentage of the N-body ownership on forums like these, and pulling from what I've seen in the repair field...yeah, these cars like to be troublesome. What, you think the resale on these cars is crap for nothing?

Well lucky for me, the alero is one of the last oldsmobiles ever made. So one day.... they will be a "collectable" especially the final 500 version.

Sadly the ga ended in 05 then they had the gto, g8 and a few other pontiacs come out before they got shafted.

Oldsmobile made 500 (of each) special auroras, bravadas, and aleros before they quit. Had a special paint color, custom seats amd badging. (Nothing terribly special, but still rare) and come with a certificate stating say... #488 of 500. There are some still out there with super low miles. Ive seen one final 500 alero for sale. 13k miles on the clock. And that was last year. But they wanted like 12 or 16k for it.... which right now is crazy. But down the road I will look forward to seeing them at barrett jackson for sale.

No offence hobo but how clean is your interior? Delivering pizzas sounds like it would leave grease stains and cause your interior to smell bad. Not to mention if you smoke cigs in there.

Eh. Im just saying ill be happy to see them on BJ. Im sure someone will try and sell one with low miles and all on there, and if there is an olds fanatic there, it would be a great edition to a collection. Especially if you collected all 5 of the final 500 versions.

But sadly, the final 500 #500 of 500 Alero is locked away somewhere in GM's possesion. Most likely less then 100 miles on it. All signed by the guys who worked on those last production cars in the factory. Who knows. May see that one go up one day on BJ, ya never know.

family owned or not it still sucks huge balls..i worked at papa gino's for 5yrs for some retarded reason.. did occasional deliveries to some sketchy mofo's.

like one dude i delivered to when he opened the door it was pitch black and all you could smell was incense..

my point is people are assholes and impatient as fuck.. i would end my own life before i did that shit again.
