Yeah, shaving key holes, door handles, etc. is stupid and pointless IMO. They are there for a reason and eliminating them doesn't really add anything to the aesthetics of the car. Sometimes you might need the trunk keyhole too... if you can't use the button in the car or it fails, you can't get into the trunk. Just as an example, I used to enter my car in shows where you were required to disconnect the battery from the car... my battery is in the trunk... if I shut off the power and had no key hole, I would have had NO WAY to get into my trunk and turn the power back on. Plus I'd keep my stuff locked in the trunk while I'd walk around the show and look at the rest of the cars.

Cuz ya know. A lot of people have their battery in the trunk
![]() I'm finding it hard to find a reason that u need to disconnect the battery for a car show.

Yeah I'm confused as to why the battery had to be disconnected for a show as well.

I thought it was stupid as well, but it was an indoor show and was required by the fire marshal, as well as having 1/4 tank of gas or less (also stupid).

I drive a V6 H.O.

The fire marshal requested that as well? I know most gas tanks are vented but gas is flammable and gas fumes are explosive. You have more room for gas fumes in a nearly empty tank. I can understand for a spilling stand point but wow.

They don't mind your plate being like that I take it? It's creative, I wish I lived in a 1 plate state.

There was a bill introduced to try and pass only issuing one plate for Missouri but I don't believe it ever passed. And it doesn't surprise me that Illinois is a 2 plate state because you all have some seriously ridiculous laws! |

Received my SS brake lines from STILLEN. Would definately recommend ordering your lines from them since they where the only ones I could find that still had them available, didn't find them on eBay.
Bought them and they said they where made to order which is nice so you know you're getting a brand new product and they said they would take 1-1.5 weeks to get made and ship. Got that email on the 8th of July. I wasn't in no hurry so I callled them on the 21st to get an update on them and talked to Stanley and he said he would call GoodRidge and get an update and e-mail the details. A day passed and I got his e-mail with the tracking number on Tuesday and they got here today. So STILLEN has my approval. Also thanks to Starglow for giving me the link to the right banjo bolts everything arrived today so its on time, took 2 days to get here since Brakconnect is based in Tennessee. BTW my rear lines shouldn't be as stressed in the air since my car is lowered correct? ![]() Quote:
I truely believe you should be fine with 1 plate, if you get a ticket I'll pay for yours ![]() My dad knows Carl Edwards closely and knows his dad and his dad still runs around here in his New black GT500 with no plates AT ALL and gets away with it ![]()

As far as CE and his family's experiences, it may not be equitable to extend assumption of benefits to those folks residing outside the Good Ole Boy NASCAR **** YEAH Missouri thing; but hey, smoke 'em if ya got 'em.

How much did it cost those of you with the sc/t kits to get them painted up? It will cost me roughly 800 to 850 to buy and get it shipped. I am still thinking on getting it soon though. We'll see.
