Sorry, my opinion differs from yours.

But then again idk why I show my love for small cars since it seems like everyone here is a jackass to anything understated when it comes to cars they've never driven. Oh well, don't knock it till you try it but that won't stop you all from bitching about ST's, abarths, etc. so carry on.

Also enjoy that fact you can clean your tips , with my rear lip I can only clean the inside, not the outside around them.

That's not an opinion.... it's based on solid numbers from real world testing. That is called objective comparison.

I'd take a Feista ST over the Fiat 500 any day. It's a better car and better value for the money by pretty much every measure. But I'd still take a Focus ST over the Fiesta because it has better numbers. More HP, better power/weight ratio, more space etc. = better value for the money. Again, it's a pure numbers comparison.

If you factor in the subjective comparisons like driving feel and fun etc, all the articles rate the Fords above the Fiat as well. The Fiat is a lot like a Mini Cooper.... people buy it because of how it looks, not for it's value. It's a fashion statement. Which is a stupid reason to buy a car.

I know in the end you'll take the focus seeing as the Fiesta is to small of a car for you. But out of pure driving fun the Fiesta wins all day long, just look at every major car review out there or any car review out there for that matter. I've driven both at Ford and prefer the Fiesta. The Fiesta has just enough potential to be a good powerful car like the Focus.

The Focus beats the Fiesta in power to weight by .006 Not that much of a difference considering the lower power numbers. If you consider on the comparisons Motortrend made the Fiesta isn't that much behind the focus, and for how much cheaper it costs I'd still go with the Fiesta with how close the figure 8, lateral g's etc. numbers are.

Uh, try again.... it's a little more than .006

Straight from Car&Drivers latest lightning lap article...

Quote:

car base price/as tested HP Weight power/weight ratio

Ford Fiesta ST, $24,220/$25,610 , 197, 2720 , 13.8

Ford Focus ST, $26,845/$29,375 , 252 , 3180 , 12.6
The Focus has 1.2 lbs less per HP.

Also doesn't change the fact that the Fiat is a hairdresser's/secretary's car and both Fords smack the sh!t out it on a performance and value comparison.

Get a room.

People who care about cars would mod both the FiST and FoST so who cares about stock numbers.

Not necessarily. There have to be parts available and the ability to tune first. New cars are getting more and more difficult to modify because they are more and more complex and more and more powerful from the factory. A lot of people are just leaving them alone now and driving as is. It's not fast and furious like the 2000's anymore.

Anyway, further proof. The fiat lost a comparison test behind a cooper s and a fiesta which got first.http:// http://www.caranddriver.com/...omparison-test
