Meh, sleepy's car only needs to look fast sitting still anyway. Doesn't need an engine.

Yeah, we're taking the razing to extremes. We don't do anything half way around here.

Don't ask why, but I need to know some reliable and good looking cars that are newer than mine. I really really like the 02 gp gtp coupe, but that's even older than mine. My parents think that of its over 10 years old, it's automatically crap and worthless. I need to either have a reason to say why not all old cars are crap, or I need a lots of several new(er) cars to pick from. Here is a list of cars I really like.

Pontiac bonneville
Pontiac Grand Prix gtp (coupe or sedan) (not 2004 and above)
Pontiac g5 gt
Pontiac g6 gt (2009.5)
Pontiac g8
Chevy impala (2000-2014)

Those are the ones I like. If you want please add cars that you like to the list. Thanks

I wouldn't say 10+ year old Pontiacs or GM are crap...but they aren't exactly dependable if you don't know how the previous owners maintained the cars. But I think you pretty much listed everything Pontiac made, minus the Aztek and Montana. Only one of those I would go with is the G8GT, not even the v6 G8. Broaden your search. If you want something dependable and cheaper, you would want to look for a Honda or Toyota. I know your parents have "rejected" that idea...but those really are some of the best bang for your buck. Not buying a used import car because it's an import, is just poor logic to me.

I would be all for an import, but there is no where to fix them anywhere near where I live. Only American shops here. Nearest one is aberdeen, and that is 1.5 hours away.

Imports can be just as easy to work on as an american car. Most shops can fix most cars. If a shop turned away imports, they probably aren't very good mechanics and I wouldn't bring my cars there anyways. There are only certain imports that are hard to work on, and you won't be buying any of those.

That's the problem - they DO turn imports like Honda and toyota away. Even Nissan. That's why you don't see barely any imports here. There is only one kid at my whole school who drives an import.

Well that's a shame. I wouldn't want to be living in your neck of the woods. Move away to college and buy a car then . I would buy any of those cars. If they can't figure out a basic import...how in the hell do they work on any sort of new car?

No kidding.

I wouldn't label anything on that list, or any mass produced GM pre-2010, as dependable. Not any more than your Grand Am any ways.
