Fabs you're getting old. I've been doing everything to just get everything paid off and I think deal with the fact that truck is what it is, and buy a something to build instead of another new truck. would rather have a beater truck and a toy.

Pretty sure they were before that and a different brand. They just aren't the same as the high tech more modern multi-stage airbags, and there's only two of them. IMO their effectiveness is limited. I removed the drivers side one so I could install a different steering wheel for racing. The passenger side one went off in an accident (and all it did was give my passenger rug burn on his arm), and I just didn't replace it because I didn't want to pay the expense of the airbag AND the module that has to be replaced every time they go off, plus going to a dealer to get the airbag codes reset with a tech2 to turn off the airbag light. Just wasn't worth it to me. I still have the factory steering wheel and airbag, and that's it. Holding onto it in case I decide to sell the car someday and the buyer wants to reinstall it.

no. Most likely going with something that's a little more on the practical/reliable side than a DD that's modded - I'd rather have a regular old DD and figure out a project car than trying to make one car do both. Still trying to figure out details, we're probably going to get rid of all 3 cars and pick up either 2 or 3 new ones, just need to figure out what's realistic and what the CEO wants (because of course she "fell in love" with some new 2016s we drove over the weekend).

that's why this time around i bought what i did..absolutely zero mods for the 3.0 H6 that i have.. it has enough power to not be a turd and when need be it pulls to 6k no problem...

only mod i plan on doing is throwing a 2" lift at it..

once i get to my final living destination i'll look into a project car.. got a few in mind..i kinda want a 80's caprice probably a wagon, or an el camino..depending what will fit it will either get a cummins or duramax..

I never really had problems with the motor either (other than burning through FPRs and fuel pumps), it was the rest of the car that had issues. Even if you did want to buy another n-body, good luck finding one in decent enough shape.

mine smoked through a limg in like 10k miles which required me to buy a new engine.

the wheel bearings themselves don't suck it's the electronics attached to them..

if anyone wants an n-body in decent shape come buy mine. $1500 and you can drive it away..no rust on the body and the struts are relatively new..
