Question 97 Grand AN GT

Recently my wife's 97 Grand AM SE started locking and unlocking the doors and trunk all on it's own
Doesn't matter if you are driving or it is parked
I tried to replace the battery in the remote she has still didn't work
So I then took the battery out all together and still didn't help
This has all happened all of a sudden
We have owned the car for about 5 years now with few issues until this
Could it be faulty relays and if so where would they be located
Can I just take them out as we don't use the darn remote anyways
If it's the keyless entry how can i take it out or disable it
Like I said this has never happened before but has killed the battery now 3 times and darn I don't know about you guys but it's cold and snowing the last time it happened LOL
Thanks for your time and help JRB in R.I.

Maybe a faulty BCM.

Well I am pretty good with cars
Though I mostly restore old Oldsmobile's 63 to 76
Can I Reset it or replace it and where would it be located
or
Can I just pull the relays and be done with it for now till Spring rolls around
As like I said we have never used the remote the whole time we have had the car
She opens the doors and trunk with the key
Plus it's darn cold out right now LOL
Again thanks for your time and help

I don't know if they can be fixed or not and they aren't really that cheap. I also have never had to replace one so I'm not aware of what maybe involved. I believe it's located under the glove box somewhere. I wouldn't go messing with it though unless your sure it should be replaced as I'm merely suggesting it could be the culprit.

Usually when a BCM goes bad there will be other symptoms at the same time.. This sounds more like an electrical power issue. I'd look very carefully at the connections to the BCM to make sure there is a good signal getting through. Next check all the main positive and negative cables in the engine bay. Ensure your battery is good. These cars tend to have odd issues when the electricity gets weak or flaky. The receiver module for the remotes may be acting up and could be disconnected without any bad side-effects (under rear dash in my car, get to it from the trunk - yours may be different). Good luck!
