SO i was going for a top swap due to the price of a 05- 06 lx9. but i found a site and hoping its legit. 550 and free shipping for a engine thats 89k is kinda unbelievable to me. http://www.autopartsfair.com/pontiac...5-catalog.html

I've heard of people getting full LX9 Engines with less miles for cheaper.

www.car-part.com usually has awesome prices. its a pain selecting the make/model and car part, but it's still pretty good.

I drove mine from Ohio to Albany, NY. Multiple 2+ hour trips, 10k on the clock since the swap...

No major problems from the swap. I did to an internal trigger instead of the external which involves taking the crank out and getting it fitted by a 7x trigger wheel by TCE. I think I'm the only person who has a running driving car with the internal trigger though...

over 30k with the swap. I haven't been very nice to it either and it is running just great. Just regular oil changes.

One question to those who know of this swap. I hear you can use an intrigues tb for this swap. If so what year intrigue and will the tb bolt right up?

Please don't use the LX5 throttle body.

If you want a 65mm TB you can buy one from Milzy Motorsports, WOT-Tech, or TCE directly.

I haven't really messed around with the LX5 TB in person, but it does require a TB adapter. There are lots of other things you have to deal with including the throttle linkage and vac. lines...

Just spend the money (at any place you desire) and do it the right way. I bought my 65mm TB used for 120 bucks shipped...

ight understood. i believe i still got the directions to your swaps saved along with alot info from others. but since i had changed my mind months ago from doing a full swap to a top swap and just recently decied a full swap i need a lil help on some things. like right now my biggest problem the upper and lower intakes and heads. which do i take of and put on the lx9.

If you are doing a full LX9 swap you do not need to change the upper or lower intake.

For a FULL LX9 swap you will need a trigger kit, transmission "differential" brace, an ECT extension/adapter, a MAP adapter, coil pack brackets (for the coil packs to line up to the LX9 upper intake) and a TB adapter.

If you want to keep the EGR you might want to have a junkyard near by so you can grab one if yours or the LX9's does not work...it should work though. Also with EVAP control, about 90% of JY LX9's will have the EVAP solenoid on the intake manifold busted off. Either plug the hole and disable EVAP in the PCM or get a solenoid that is new/reman'd if yours is indeed broken.

Coil pack brackets do they come with the swap kit or are they something i already have or need to buy. I know the kit contains the map ect extentions adapts and the crank trigger. But is the trans brace and the tb adapter in the kit?
