new to forum

Just picked up a 2000 GT to put around in for a little while. Stopping in to figure out what I may need to repair and what I need to look out for.

Welcome to the madness.

First things first, hope you have thick skin, or you'll never survive around here. Second, you planning on keeping this as a beater, or mod?

More than likely going to have it as a beater. May throw some music in it, an intake and maybe some HID's but that's about it.

If you go HID, retrofit. Intakes are dirt cheap, just cruise on eBay.

Retrofit, trust me...do it right the first time. The aftermarket "projectors" are a joke.

*edit*
You have a 2000 model, you NEED to disable the DRL to run HIDs

If you dont like them, say "i dont like them." Dont lie about the quality of a something just because you dont like how they look. Trust me...that is a good enough not to like something. Nobody will ever sneak a pair of them onto your car. I believe this should be a place of record for things concerning these cars. And misinformation should be avoided. it appears that there may be several different types and prob even more manufacturers of aftermarket projectors. It appears that many here have owned some for years with no problems, so a blanket proclamation by you about the quality of them is obviously incorrect. If you want to ignore me, push the damn button...im not stopping you.
